I'm a guy. And I have no idea why she asked. We were laying down watching Seinfeld and she just asked out of nowhere. So maybe she asked with the intent if getting on my nerves, I don't know.

Been getting frustrated almost every night now. We watched 90 Day Fiance a few days ago and she started asking if Samoans are all inbred and I was like "uh... That's not cool, can't make generalizations based off of these two people", and then she said she was going to "look it up". What.

This is a bad take, because you're ignoring the simple idea of context. There was no context for this question. If she was going through my phone and saw a dozen texts to strange guys and we were trading pics I could maybe understand. When you're just watching TV? Inappropriate.

Is your problem with her wondering if you have any attraction to guys or just with when she asked the question, like she wasn't justified in asking it? I gotta say, either thing seems pretty dumb to be upset about.

I just find it especially aggravating because I am helping her constantly, she asks me to double check every. single. e-mail she sends for work, sometimes I spend more time doing shit for her than for my own job. I helped her get registered for her final couple college classes because she doesn't understand how to adhere to a basic schedule and missed the original payment due date, and then she couldn't find the classes again.

The checking e-mails thing persists until like 7 - 8 PM sometimes, and I just want to relax at that point not be asked asinine questions.

You ever consider messing with her when she asks really obvious questions? Sometimes my wife will ask me really obvious things I have no idea why are even questions, so Ill give the wrong answer on purpose just to see her reaction >_>

This makes it seem like you just don't like the person you're married to and are unhappy in the relationship so you're lashing out about dumb shit instead of acknowledging the actual problem.

She hasnt asked me anything with serious social implications, but, she has this weird habit of always asking permission for weird things.

like, sometimes shell legit ask do you mind if I go to the bathroom? I always tell her no. We both get a chuckle out of it. >_>

and she also has this weird habit of asking if I like things at weird times. Like, if were at a restaurant for instance, she might ask me if I like the food. Thats a normal question, except she asks it as soon as the server drops off the plates. Shes staring dead at me, I havent even picked up a fork. <_>

Yeah but you expect context for something like this. Some sort of introduction, like "Hey remember how we were watching Gaycation a few weeks ago and they talked about fluidity or sexuality not being black and white?" then followed up with the question. Not... "Are you heterosexual?" completely out of nowhere. I can't emphasize enough, there was absolutely no discussion about sexuality at all throughout the entire day.

You seem oddly defensive to even answer what should be a direct question. Some dudes are theoretically bi but effectively heterosexual. If y'all've never talked it about before, I don't see what the issue is. Hell, she may be theoretically bi but effectively heterosexual, and she wanted it to bring it up somehow.

If you think her intent was to legit get on your nerves, that's some pretty toxic shit right there -- either in her actions or your perception of them. Is direct communication that difficult for you two?
