I take it off in the parking lot when I see no one around me

Also I park really far away from any stores I go to so

And idgaf if it offends anyone. I always make sure there's no one else around for like 30+ yards

I thought the same thing. But the more I wear my mask, the more I forget I'm even wearing it. I've caught myself a few times driving away with it on before taking it off. I can totally see how someone who has been wearing one longer than me could be so well adjusted to them they completely forget to take it off even while driving.

Or people realize that it's going to be a more common thing in many more places and just want to get used to wearing it? Maybe that person in the car has to work an 8 hour job in a mask, so making it a common practice helps making wearing it for an extended period of time more comfortable.

It's like with anything, when you start wearing glasses, sure it feels awkward and not normal at first. The more you wear them the more you get used to them. When I started the mask thing, I was fidgeting with it all the time, tugging on it, trying to get it comfortable. Now it's like second nature, put it on and pretty much forget about it.

Why are people only acting like their are two possibilities when there is a spectrum? Yes, we can be happy people are wearing their mask in stores. Maybe we shouldn't mock them for ripping their mask off when outside, but wearing it until they get to their car won't kill them.

Honestly the point is never, ever going to reach some people. Unfortunately.

I wear my mask while walking in Florida heat for over 30 minutes. Ive become one with the mask at this point.

I don't tear it off, I just unloop it from my ear and remove it gently. It's Saint Louis and summer is fucking miserable and humid here. So long as there isn't anyone around me, I don't need it when outside.

This exact thing happened with me. I saw a guy come out from a store and take his mask off and start hawking and spitting all over the parking lot and shaking his face around. I was like really dude?

Damn dude, you sound like you should find better things to stress about.

I usually put it on/take it off exiting/entering the car.

I pretty much have to wear a mask 10 hours a day in a hot factory because my job requires me to be around other people.

It's nowhere near as bad wearing one as people make it out to be. Can be a little uncomfortable but I've never been short of breath or anything like that.

I dont think you guys are doing as bad as you think, I dont think canadas numbers are thaaaat much better

After 5 months of quarantine almost im not convinced this is the right way to go

I generally keep it on for a bit longer but once there are no people around I draw it down.

Technically, the mask does provide a very small amount of protection to the wearer. It's primarily to protect others, but it's false to say that it provides zero protection for the person wearing it.

Meanwhile I worked an entire shift today in retail, hauling carts with a mask on not complaining one bit. I could breath fine, and it was hot out. And yes, I wear it even while outside because I don't trust customers not to walk around me when I'm trying to do my job.
