Dhaos is out. Didn't get him with my pull, but...git my 5th Kohaku FULLY AWAKENED BAYBEEEEEE.

Already maxed her skill levels. Just gotta get 4 more Strange Cores and helllllo maxed Kohaku.

Saved up 3 rolls and got Luke, Rita, and Reid. I've wanted Rita so that's great, and I think Luke is pretty good? Never seen anyone use Reid though.

I have enough for 2 pulls and I want to pull but I'm not sure the ultimate benefit of getting Dhaos when he's limited so is going to be miserable to ever fully awaken

Two pulls got me nothing. Dhaos is probably still useful as a hit generator, and I expect that event rewards will eventually give us shards to awaken characters.

Figured the rate up would be higher than 0.7%, that's pretty rough.

That's slightly more than a specific SR and you all know it took like 300 pulls before I got one Repede lol

Yeah I mean he's good hitgen but not really much better than what is out there. Like Yuri has basically the same MA hitgen and then better hitgen on normal Artes.

Dhaos has the Dispel thing but on hitgen alone I wouldn't say he's worth pulling compared to what is already out there. Yuri, Vicious, Leon all do slightly different but similar jobs

I don't have Yuri so I thought it was worth a try, but you're right it's not a must have. I think I'll wait to see what the next summer units will be

dreaming back to omnia's JP anniversary this year that had a free 10-pull every day for a month

I mean we do have to remember it's a new gacha and they always tend to be stingier at the start and then become more generous down the line.

But yeah a single free summon a day isn't a massive ask. It's equates to like just over 1 free SSR a month.

I mean in terms of the actual amount of stones given out and earnable, this is probably the LEAST stingy gacha I've ever played at launch. But in terms of day to day systems, sure. We'll have to see how it pans out in the future.

There's also the caveat that most gachas are launching late after being out in JP for a while, and they've already worked out their kinks.

yeah definitely, it's not like Omnia started out where it is now for sure (although it did have the guaranteed 5* on 10+1 sooner than most I think), and its global is now 3 years old and the even better JP is a year further than that

I think I was turned off from Pokemon Masters pretty early with its lack of any guarantee, although I think the general rates were higher than what we got here.... but I don't think B8 stayed with it that long to see how that went lol

Well 10+1 guaranteed SSR has both good and bad points. Obviously getting a guaranteed SSR is great but what tends to happen when they shift to that is that the draw pool becomes bloated with SSR units overshadowed by power creep. So you still end up feeling bad when you get SSRs that are no longer useful

I guess in this game it wouldn't be too bad as it means you could actually utilize the rainbow share exchange to awaken better units.

I expect release SSRs will be surpassed fairly easily just due to how easy it would be. Higher damage / hits, better passives, more status effects, better Memoria, better team synergy. A lot of the SSRs right now are very vanilla in what they do even compared to SRs

I think part of the "issue" with people's impressions of their pulls is that people are still sleeping on SRs too much. I made the same mistake! Some of these units are incredibly valuable.

I have lost 3 times in Arena in the last 150 matches or so, and all 3 were versus teams that primarily or exclusively utilized non-story SRs.

FUCK the Zesteria wind crew.

Oh shit I just noticed I pulled another Gaius and forgot in my excitement of Kohaku getting maxed.

That's my 10th Gaius, lord. His stone is at 90 and his character is at +4 now. One more of these bad boys and I'm maxing him to 90 and kicking Reid to the curb.

Other thing about Dissidia is that equipments have always only need 3 dupes to Awaken - which also that means it's even sooner that you get redundant dupes that you aren't conflicted about converting into upgrade material

... and Dissidia also only takes 4 "shards" to exchange into a generic upgrade, and "shards" are even given as rewards instead of just relying on conversion.

5 dupes to complete a character or memoria (10 for both) is really demanding so it sucks when the well of gemstones dries up and you're unsatisfied with the pulls, and then there's needing 10 shards for a single upgrade

There's some pretty valuable SR units, particularly for the phantom tower and arena. Emil has a low turn count wildfire that's pretty ridiculous, and there's some great AOE and debuff characters to boot. I'm in the process of training up my mono teams at the moment and there's some good synergy in there.

But it doesn't take the sting out of SSR dry spells.

finally got around to checking the wiki for how many gleamstones are obtained through 1 character's affinity leveling

Adding them all up, that's (a long and gradual) 1100 gleamstones per character! Decent encouragement to play around with more characters even though you're obv not gonna get level 50 affinity with everyone

It would have been nice if the passive skills progressively got better with awakening rather than being fully awakened or nothing. Like even if it was weighted to getting better and better with each awakening it would be something. Like the below would be fine

1/5 - 0 (since it doesn't need a dupe)
2/5 - 10% of max potential
3/5 - 30% of max potential
4/5 - 60% of max potential
5/5 - 100%

I'm a little jealous.

My single pulls continue to be much luckier than my ten pulls. My weekly summon ticket transformed from a rare into a Sorey dupe. Six individual pull SSRs compared to two from my multis.

I wonder how obnoxious to kill I can make SR Misella. I have her fully awakened (+11% DEF to all). I have Dezel fully awakened (+23% DEF to Artes users). I could theoretically fully awaken Zavied (+23% HP to Artes users) but using a Fire and Wind together seems to be anti synergy.

They should increase the focus rate on these banners. A 1/5 chance for the SSR to be the one you want seems quite bad. They can get away with it for new characters, but who is going to pull for Yuri or Reid.

Yeah, once you finish all the main and side quests on Very Hard the well is basically completely dry. Very little way to actually get a meaningful amount of Gleamstones other than daily/event rewards.

Well let's see

420 per week from event dailies (60 per day. Hard to know if they will always be there)
350 per week from standard dailies
300 per week from weekly quests
350 per week from standard login bonus
~500 per week from arena rewards
1200 per month from Arena battle pass (let's call it 300 per week)
2500 per month from Tower (so 625 per week)

So you're looking at around 2800-2900 gleamstones a week not including any sort of bonuses from extra login bonuses, compensation, clearing stages, getting characters affinity up, etc

over the 600k Event Points mark now
