Can I get the gameplay explained to me? All the gifs look the actual TV show Knockout, but on the steam page it looks like there's stuff like Pick-a-Path where you can just lose for choosing the wrong door or whatever. How much skill or quick thinking is involved in winning?

It pretty much the TV show Wipeout and there is some luck involved in the earlier rounds, but once you get into the last round there's a little more strategy.

I don't buy games that exist only by the grace and mercy of whoever maintains the server.

The beta is a lot of fun and i really do hope it does really well. Has a lot of potential.

I don't know about that since I just started today on PS4. I agree it's very limited for a BR party game but that also may have been the intention seeing how popular the game can float as is before moving forward with more content. Rocket League started out in the same shape with just the basics and it became a phenomenon, so there's potential for Fall Guys in that way.

1st place in round 1: Door dash
1st place in round 2: Gate Crash
3rd place in Round 3: Slime Climb (which eliminated all but 5)
Then a victory at the last second in the tail grab

I hope season 2 fixes the see-saw one. It's not terrible, per se, but it's just too long. I feel like they could get rid of one of the batches, and it'd be much better.

Definitely a difficult game to win. I've gotten close twice. But so far, it's quite fun for a 20 dollar game. I just hope to see a lot more minigames in the future. Maybe a level maker too so people can make their own obstacle courses.

So when I first launched the game I turned off vsync and that somehow capped it at 60fps. I turned it back on and now get 144fps and it makes a world of difference. When shit it all chaotic and cluttered it really stabilizes the action. It's so buttery smooth now all around as well.

Very true about Rocket League, so yeah I can see this game having some good potential. Just hopefully they don't do something that fucks things up.

Yeah it looks like they're going to be doing updates and what not. I think the updates are mostly going to be on cosmetics, but if they add in more minigames and possibly more game modes and other features in the future. It's honestly the only game I could play with my wife (because she normally hates video games lol).

I normally don't give a shit about cosmetics in multiplayer games but the pineapple suit is tempting since 5/10 people wear the spirit hood thing that came at launch. It does feel like the game would greatly benefit with unique looks so that when everyone's dogpiling each other, you can actually tell where the hell you are haha.

The kudos currency is also surprisingly fair so I'm impressed again Devolver continues to be one of the best publishers in gaming.

Yep, so far I've seen 3 different finales;
Hexagon dropping one
Race to the crown
Tail grab

There might be another, but I haven't seen it in the PS4 version. I do seem to recall seeing a streamer show off the "jump over the spinning stick" as a finale a few weeks ago, but don't know if it made it to the full release

Yeah some steamers on Saturday got that final round but I haven't seen it yet. There is a regular round with the same event except the panels don't fall out.

Seesaw wasn't that bad the first few times but people definitely ruined it really quick.

Been playing on PS4 for a bit. Fun game. I usually win or get very close. Sometimes, I'll forfeit getting the crown on the final round just to grab the second player and screw them over. Going to try that on hexagon, too.
