Anywhere from 30p - 4 depending how much you want and brand. I mostly pay 1. Sometimes for one big single bag but most the time for mutipacks of 6.

You're a food snob though and I love crisps. I should import some USA ones at some point.

Knowing the difference between bad crisps and good crisps is the sign of a sophisticated palette. You're so jealous. Why else would you feel the need to resort to insults in what was a civil conversation?

I don't know, I haven't bought chips in a long time.

Lays had a wasabi flavour chip a while back that was legendary. Wish they'd bring that back.

Thanks for proving my point Sunny. Why would I be jealous of someone who can't enjoy food like I do? Stop reaching. You are a food snob. This is simply a fact.

The best thing Walkers have made in recent years for me is Walkers Strong. Jalapeno and Cheese are my favourite but all are really good.

I've most likely never had the brand of crisps you prefer so how would you or I know if I don't like them? Clearly, your new tag is Chip Reacher.

Depends where you buy them...like in the other 'Dollar' Store topic, you can get a decent sized bag for a Buck.

And other places (like CVS, Target, etc) usually have 2/$5 specials for the larger Bags/Famous Brands.

Depends on if they are store brand, Wachusett, Wise, Lays or Doritos.
So anywhere between $1-$5 for a 7-10oz bag.

I came into this topic thinking you were asking bout average cost of french fries/chips.

A family size bag of Lays potato chips is maybe $3-4 I think in So Cal. The better stuff might be $5-6ish I think.

How much do chips cost where you're at?

Depends on the brand and the size, as well as whether or not the store is having a sale.

But looking at two bags I have at the moment, Lays "Party Size" (12.5oz) is $4.79, while Utz "No Salt Added" (9oz) is $4.29. But I feel like I bought at least one of those as part of a 2/$6 deal, so they actually cost $3.00.

Your problem there might be Canadian Amazon.

$10 per bag seems fairly on-par, because a) the CD to USD conversion rate makes it more like $7.50 US, b) a lot of stuff can wind up getting marked up a bit on Amazon in general, and c) those look like somewhat niche chips, which would be more expensive in general.

I just looked on the company's web-site, and I can't even find that particular style/packaging at all, so it might be something they've discontinued (which would raise the price as well), or something that is limited by region/time (which would also increase the value).

Using Wikipedia to come up with a list of supermarket chains in Canada, and looking on one of their web-sites, it seems like the general baseline price of chips in Canada is about the same as the US. A bag of "Party Size" Lays is listed as selling for $4.79 or 2/$9.00, which would actually make it cheaper than the US once you take the exchange rate into account.
