If anyone here is interested in an excellent and simple quality of life improvement, HERE IT IS:

Installed Bidet + Wet Wipes + Toilet Paper to pat dry COMBO

You will feel cleaner and more hygienic all the time (because you WILL BE cleaner and more hygienic all the time), and you might even save money in the long run. I know bidets have been gaining popularity ever since we hit TP crit levels a few months ago, but if you're a person who still finds them a strange and awkward appliance... time to expand your mind and join the winning team.

Decided to make this topic because I pooped ten minutes and, in a moment of zen, realized that I'm on my second roll of TP since March (when people actually began tracking things like that).

I'm here to answer any questions.

But do you flush the wet wipes despite everyone saying that is bad?

Yep, but I try to only flush one at a time (I never need to use more than two since the bidet itself does such a good job). Been doing it that way for a few years without any issues. I'm probably being selfish, but I just can't toss em in the bin without feeling gross.

Bidet + wet wipe? Seems excessive

But yeah, we have a bidet and we're not expecting to have to buy more TP before next year

Maybe, but a wet wipe gets me completely clean and does most of the drying. After I use one, I only need like two squares of TP to pat dry. I never cared to guess how much TP I was using before when I was doing things the "traditional" way. Like... minimum 20 squares per poop?

I'll eat ass but no way am I sending water up there
I'll never forget one of the first times I used mine. I tried to strain a stubborn last bit of poop out, and I... well, I shot a small explosion of water from my ass. I sat there in momentary disbelief, wondering if I had just somehow peed out of my ass. Before I realized that it was just bidet water, it was the most confusing few moments I've ever had on the john.

Don't flush wet wipes! Even "flushable" wipes can cause major damage to sewer infrastructure.

Yeah, I dunno, maybe try not using the wet wipes and compare but I feel like it's not necessary to use both, especially given the sewer/pipe issue wet wipes can have

Our bidet has a heated dry feature , but it's admittedly about as effective as the average hand dryer, so it takes a while for it to actually dry your butt

Toilet paper is made to dissolve in water. Wet wipes aren't, and frequently end up clumping together in pipes or sewers until they form a large mass.

Throw them out. I know it sounds icky but the options are dont use them, throw them out, or flush them and move before it becomes an issue

I was actually referring to options for bidets. I've got a squeeze bottle solution at the moment (bought it during the TP shortage), but it's about as effective as using a squirt gun. If I could get a real bidet, I'd need some power.

I've always felt like the bidet will just liquefy the poo and spread it thin everywhere and you will need to wipe anyway...maybe even a greater area of your butt. Like the whole surrounding bits.
Wet wipes are more expensive then TP and can cause pipe issues, especially if you live in an older establishment.

I can see how a bidet+TP could be really good, but that bidet should be shooting up some soapy water (Then regular water) for when you TP wipe everything off. Ain't no way I am either air drying (If that's a bidet thing) or pulling up my underwear with a wet bottom.
