I think 'Year of Villains' is more of a philosophy than a hard rule. e.g. most of the remaining XIV characters are antagonists, but I'm not expecting Gen to save someone from a game she says she hasn't played.

Today was a bad day for me before this round with a confluence of personal-life shit on top of my not being around. I don't like being that way, posting those things, for some dumb online contest.
Also that's the "sore loser" side coming out, like I just wanted to get through boots then I don't care about anything, but I couldn't even get that far. And I had been dying for spice and the spicy characters always get saved by the end and boy, this is spicy... can't blame people for aiming for it. Technically its a summon in VI (espers and summons have gotten in but maybe its because they are special a la Anima/Alexander/Bahamut) and the wiki considers it and Zolom to be the same

Heidegger is unironically the only FF cosplay I thought I could pull off (plus the name connection is nice)... but I lost too much weight in the past year to make it really work anymore.

I'd say the summon route for Zolom is the better option, since there's at least two Midgar Zoloms in FF7 (the one Sephiroth killed and the one that's still in the swamp when you get there).
