I'm still salty af about Souplantation disappearing. As all buffets are, it's probably unhealthy if you don't control your intake, but at least Souplantation made it easy to eat a whole lot of veggies and soup

You'd be surprised at how much food is under a heat lamp/thrown in the microwave at just about any restaurant.

I'm not sad about this. I actually enjoy buffets, but have gone to maybe 2 in the last few years. There's always way too many people, most of them are trashy, and it really makes you feel like an animal lining up to eat out of the trough

I feel like most of them can easily convert to just a sit-in restaurant. They have kitchens in the back, and seating in the dining room already. They only thing they are really losing is the buffet unit itself, they can remove that unit, add more seating, and continue on cooking and serving single plate meals. It would change the menu, sure, but I don't think it's this drastic and that all buffets will just shut down their entire business and masses will lose their jobs. If anything, it will employ more servers and kitchen staff.

I think most of the people saying "good" is because hundreds of people a day are getting food with the same spoon, sitting down, eating with their hands, putting their hands and fingers on their face, lips, and mouth, and going back for more without consistently washing their hands and touching those spoons again. It's a very unhealthy way of distributing food to the public and is always a prime place to spread germs, diseases, and viruses.

Went to a buffet last Monday, you had to wear a mask when you were up from your table like you would at any other restaurant, and you had to throw on a new pair of gloves each time you went up to the buffet. It wasn't bad at all.

Only good buffets are vegas buffets. Even then, only the station casinos, cosmo, and Caesars buffets are good.

nah bro people are just saying it to be spiteful, no one knows about whats been happening in the world these past few months

Hotels have stopped doing their free breakfast bars in many places due to new state restrictions. Now guests are demanding comps because of it.
