McDonalds is good if it's made right. Chick Fil a's biggest selling point is the fries and how efficient their drive thru is at every location.

Yeah they're all pretty local. I think Cane's is picking up a lot of traction though as they should be. Their chicken and fries are top notch and the toast is just phenomenal.

Don't really understand the Cane's hype, had it for the first time recently and while the chicken and fries are decent they'd just be basic ass chicken and fries without the Cane's sauce. Toast was great but it's 100% not worth the 20 minutes in line you have to spend to get it around here.

Zaxby's is the superior regional chicken place IMO. Their chicken is much better out of the gate AND their sauce is superior.

Skyline sounds cool, go there.

Yeah! I think they all use different sauces on their Big Boys too. Ours have tartar sauce, I think Guacamole and 1000 Island are at the other locations.

Well it's a pretty big chain but only on the East Coast. I don't know why there isn't one in Chicago, there's one further west in Illinois but it's an hour drive from Chicago

I drove by these things so many times in Vegas and Arizona and was like, meh chicken strips whatever.

Then we got one here and I finally tried it. They have my vote.

You know what regional chicken place is outstanding? Jack's. Not to be confused with Jack in the Box.

They're mainly in Alabama, and their spicy chicken sandwich stomps Popeyes, Chick-Fil-A, etc.

I mean, duh? But that still makes it damn good for fast food chicken. You've got to contextualize here. It's not gonna be gourmet shit. It's still fast food in the end, even if it's at the upper end of that specific category. The Zaxbys I've been to have all been comparable quality-wise though, so picking one over the other is whatever.

raising canes opened a location at my university the year after i left. its the only one in the state, so i've still never gotten to try it :(

But you've got Zaxby's around iirc, so you've at least got a decent dedicated chicken option. Chik-fil-a is legit pretty low tier relative to either, and even that's miles above chicken offerings from places that aren't dedicated to chicken tbh
