As someone who was growing up when they were coming out (I was 11 years old when Phantom Menace was released) who saw almost nothing besides absolute revulsion towards them, its really weird seeing people speak of them in a more positive light.

I mean, Im glad, because I always liked them. Its just.. weird.

Don't care to ever watch that shit again. It's only good for the memes and referencing.

They aren't good - but they are better than the sequels in comparison.

The sequels are better but there is good stuff in the prequels too

Episode III was great I don't care what anyone says. Better than any of the sequel trilogy movies.

Whether they're good or bad, or just neutral even, they're fun movies.

I watched all the first 4 star wars movies in the months leading up to AotC, and I like the prequels but admit they aren't very good with writing or cgi, but I like the overall story

I think its weird. People, for the most part, hated them when they came out. 7-9 sucking doesn't somehow take that away, that just means in addition to 1-3 sucking, 7-9 also suck.

I think they're bad overall, but had some good elements or ideas, albeit ones overshadowed by everything else.

I can get behind this. I actually remember the names of some of the planets in 1-3(Naboo, coruscant, Kamino, Tatooine[doesnt technically count]).

I can only remember the name of Jakku, because it is a Tattooine clone. ANY other planet in 7-9 and the spinoffs I cant recall, unless it was already established in episodes 1-6.

Nope, still think they are bad.

Pretty much. That's mostly why you're seeing positivity toward the PT now, since you're getting people remembering bits and pieces of the story and world-building and how they tie into the current films, and discussing those memories is helping people piece together the overarching story of the trilogy without having to take the bad writing along with it.
