Poll of the Day > Does anyone else just...forget....about music sometimes?

I'm kind alike that Von Trap dude, but without a Maria, cause every once and awhile, I forget about music.

Eventually something reminds me (people were playing music in a car next to me on the way home shopping). I was digging it so when I got home I put on some celtic/enya type music through spotify and have been listening all day.

I just think to myself, why havn't I listened to this for so long!!!

But it's not the first time, every time I forget about music, I feel the same way when I rediscover it. I love music, and I used to sing all the time when doing stuff but mostly stopped after my wife died and have totally stopped in the last year or so.

I need a nun to come save me.

I listen to music everyday in general. Normally the same songs unless I've found something new or a new album of someone I like has come out.

Yeah, I go through periods of just not liking anything.

I'll go days or weeks without actively listening to music.

personally? never, sometimes i go through stretches where i don't listen to much for a week at a time, but im still always thinking about music

To be honest this wasn't a problem for me until I was over 40 (and pretty much not till my wife passed). Before that I was busy etc so often would play music while working/doing stuff, driving places, and like I mentioned I'd sing alot when cooking etc.

It's just now that I'm all by myself that I just forget about music for long periods of time. It's really weird.
