I've always sort of been tempted by the premise of it, but from everything I've heard the combination of vastly overcomplicated controls and mostly boring gameplay has sort of discouraged me.
Though if I ever did get into it, I'd play it exclusively single-player because I'm not a fan of MMOs (which is why I've never really been interested in EVE, either). And I'd only play the PS4 version because fuck PC gaming. What I really kind of want is something more akin to the old Wing Commander games, or even the space fighter level in Halo: Reach. Maybe with a slight touch more simulation and exploration, but not to the point where I feel like the sort of nerds who used to play Flight Simulator back in the day.
