How many calories in a full Bloomin' Onion from Outback?










Part 1 - How many calories in a Big Mama Pickled Sausage? - 160 total calories

The first poll went over really well and we got a lot of votes, the majority were on the higher end around 300 - 500 calories, or higher. We had a few users get it right, surprisingly enough, this seeming horrifying packaged product is only a mere 160 calories.

WITHOUT GOOGLING!

Guess how many calories are in a full Bloomin' Onion from Outback Steakhouse. This is a whole onion, fried, and served with that signature sauce. This isn't per serving, this is the entire plate. Get your guesses in and i'll post up a new one in a couple days with the results of this one.



PLEASE, if you look it up, don't disclose the answer in the thread without a spoiler warning. Avoid obvious expressive responses that will throw the results.

This is just for fun and to see how many people can get close to the right answer, or already have an idea.

I remember looking up the info this a long while ago, but I was pretty sure that shit is easily 1200+. I remember being surprised when my brother bought one and ate it all. Throw in the sauce and it gets ridiculous numbers like 1500 or some shit like that. Still delicious to eat.

It's a massive battered and fried onion. It's got to have over 1000kcal, right? Not from the onion, mind you, but all of that batter and whatever they fry it in. Does anyone eat one by themselves? I've never been there so I've never had one or the urge to make myself one. I thought it was like an appetizer the table shared.

I don't think I could eat a whole one myself, not even close. I don't eat a lot to begin with, but that much grease wouldn't sit well on my stomach. Maybe if I was a teenager or in my young 20's again but not anymore.
