narrative adventure game with a heavy focus on stealth to get through sections. it's a pretty neat thing.

DW8 is great. It's the best gameplay of the DW series. The story mode is solid, just not nearly as good as DW7. BTW both these games come with all the DLC for them--tons of costumes weapons.

It's a pretty barebones but functional port. Occasionally has some funny stuff with mouths during the musou closeup animation but i'm honestly not sure they weren't in the PS3 version either lol.

My biggest gripe is that it's maxed at a 1080p resolution, but given that it's a miracle the game came out on PC in English at all helps me overlook that issue.

Oh. Yeah, probably. I generally try to alternate rather than buying every one. Played a ton of 7 on the 360. Kinda forgot 8 existed and 9 was the problem child.

Also, which version of a dynasty warriors game included the mode that had you trying to conquer China with a RTS type mindset? I know DW8 had a conquest mode, but this was one of those versions of the game that dropped for $60 a year after the base game came out.

I think you're talking about the Empire's spinoffs. Unfortunately DW8 Empires isn't on sale for some reason.

Ys Origin for the best of the old style (well not old old), Celceta for an affordable version of the new style.

Ys Seven is also fantastic and the start of the new style. Ys VIII is legitimately a top tier game, though I highly recommend you customize the controls because the default layout makes no goddamn sense. The game makes it easy to do, thankfully. Also, 8 recently got a huge update making it an amazing PC port.

You're getting the prorated bundle discount, minus what you'd save on items you already have. Plenty of games have bundles of DLC like that.

there's some terrible bugs in co-op. things like noticeable input lag on movement for the person who isn't the host, inability to load levels in Halo 2 if one person has it installed to an SSD while the other has it installed to an HDD. it's amazing we're in 2020 and they're still messing up Halo.

if you're just playing solo you should be fine.

yeah.

but also it's something that absolutely would not exist in the first place if it wasn't for the EGS. and honestly, i see myself moving to EGS over time for the rest of my library if steam can't keep up!

but i'll still use the steam client because i like its UI the best.
