I think most reasonable people would agree and I don't particularly understand the arguments for doing it, unless there is some compelling reason why circumcision is a good thing medically.

I was circumcised, and while I have no strong personal feelings about it at all, I also can't defend the position that it should continue.

I had mine done when I was maybe 9yo and it was sore for almost 2 weeks, it wasnt unbearable but it was constant. I imagine that babies can only react to the pain by crying for 2 weeks.

That said I wouldnt want my foreskin back, I like my junk as is, low maintenance and at its current sensitivity.

It's prevalence in America is entirely due to the influence of Christianity making it the norm. But even Christianity hasn't required circumcision in 2000 years. So it's very strange that we force it onto babies.

true story, I am uncut though I didn't understand that for a while. I heard of circumcision but didnt' know what it was exactly. and had no idea if I was cut or uncut. and I saw my first porn and the guy looked horrific. I thought his dick was under some horrible disease.

because I actually care. my nephew got mutilated. I tried to campaign to save him and nobody in my family had my back. my sister in law thanked me for caring so much but then disregarded my opinion and said she wanted him to look like his father. as if that matters. when will my brother and my nephew ever even see each other naked? she didn't get it. like 90% of americans. she doesn't understand why it's stupid to keep doing this generation after generation. and you are the same. you call it try hard because you don't get what the big deal is and don't understand why I am so passionate about it. What? I know for a fact people outside the US care about their dicks, maybe not to the extent people act like the US cares (they really dont).

I wasnt born in the US and was uncut til I was 18, so...uhh, no I wasnt used to it. how is that not normal to me then if all Id known was uncut?

Im picky about everything and end up stressing about small things regardless of other peoples opinions...just what I want.

Whether society cares or not is irrelevant to mental health. I never got made fun of or anything growing up about being uncircumcised. I still wanted it.
