Imagine if it happened in the 90s. Dial-up internet wouldn't let alot of people work from home.

Even in the 2000s, no good video conferencing software.

In the 2010s, doable, but still, the software was trash.

But in 2020 there is really good ability to work from home and not experience any setback.

Also, social media.
Gotta consider all those stuck at home without a job or a family.
In 2020, got tiktok, instagram, twitter, reddit, facebook, discord, youtube, netflix.
In the 2010s, you had some of these but alot less. Netflix at least wasn't always updating like now.

In the 2000s, many more people would have ended it cause no netflix.

also reliable delivery food, which wasn't a norm for the longest (besides pizza)

If it happened in the early 2000s I think high speed internet access would be a lot more frequent than it is now.

Nah. World was much less connected back then. Could have shut covid 19 down a lot easier. Plus America has competent leadership on both sides of the aisle back then. Would still be bad, but not nearly as bad as Trump's mismanagement of the virus.
