TL:DW: A guy posts on r/relationshipadvice about catching his wife cheating on him. He confronted them about texts messages but never caught them actually having sex (which she denied) so he stayed with her for the sake of the two kids they have. She also made him apologize to the neighbor since he accused him of having sex with her which he could not prove and because the neighbor's girlfriend was there too and the two families have boys whom together are friends. After that Reddit scolded him for staying with her and apologizing the neighbor and insisted they cheated and continue to cheat and communicate via other methods. He tells Reddit they are right. Days later in the news mother is arrested for killing her two kids, Reddit suspects it is the guy telling the story that it is his wife and kids. He later posts to confirm it is true. --- Bitcoin! ... Copied to Clipboard!

You guys always manage to twist things around to make which ever thread starter look bad for no reason. I'm not falling for it. I have a hard time buying any conclusion that they "helped" get his kids killed. It's perfectly normal and reasonable advice to tell someone to leave their cheating spouse, same with the advice that cheaters will most likely cheat again. The fact that it ended with children being killed is completely abnormal, something no reasonable person would ever foresee happening. --- The Legend is True! ... Copied to Clipboard!

You can argue hindsight is 20/20 I get that but the matter of fact what happened in this case is the two kids got killed and Reddit influenced those turn of events in this SPECIFIC case yeah it is normal "advice" but things could have gone differently had the husband went to a marriage counselor instead of Reddit perhaps.

Brandi Worley
Background[edit] The victims were Tyler Daniel Clinton Worley (born 2009) and Charlee Rose Jean Worley (born 2013).[1] Tyler attended the first grade at Sugar Creek Elementary School in unincorporated Montgomery County, Indiana.[2][3] Charlee was enrolled in the Willson Early Learning Center preschool in Crawfordsville.[4][5] He was 7 years old, and she was 3 years old.[6] Brandi married a software engineer,[2] Jason Worley, in August 2009,[7] two years after their engagement.[8] Shannon Hall of the Journal & Courier wrote that, according to Jason, "The two discussed separating in the past [...] but they stayed together despite some friction."[8] On November 15, 2016, Jason Worley requested a divorce.[9] Brandi Worley's attorney stated that no prior child abuse had occurred.[2] Murder[edit] After coming home from the dance performance for their daughter,[citation needed] Brandi Worley went to the Walmart in Crawfordsville, IN under the pretense of needing to buy pipe cleaners for a school project for their son, Tyler.[6] According to Joseph Buser, a prosecutor in the Montgomery County government, Brandi Worley bought the murder weapon,[2] a Kabar combat knife,[6] at a Walmart on November 16. Coming home, she initially placed the knife in Tyler's bedroom.[9] She told Jason that he could sleep on the couch, but he declined, preferring the basement to her bed or couch. As Jason slept in the basement of their residence,[10] Brandi lured Tyler to Charlee's bedroom, stating there would be a sleepover there,[2] fatally stabbed the children in their necks, and then stabbed herself in her own neck.[6] Brandi murdered her son before murdering her daughter.[2] The daughter woke to hear the repeated stabbings to her brother and asked, "What are you doing?" In which, Brandi told her to "go back to sleep." She then repeatedly stabbed her daughter. Finally Brandi called 9-1-1 to report the murders.[10] She stated she took "a lot of Benadryl".[9] She was calm and emotionless during the 911 call. She tells the 911 dispatcher that she has already called her mother and that her mother is on her way over. Her mother does not yet realize the events that took place.[citation needed] The 9-1-1 dispatcher, initially hoping or believing the call was not legitimate, asked Brandi Worley's mother, who was the victims' grandmother, to check on the welfare of the children.[11] After the mother-in-law found the children dead, her screams caused Jason to rise out of bed. Brandi told Jason "Now you can't take the kids from me."[6] Police arrived around 4:30 A.M.[6] Autopsies were conducted at Terre Haute Regional Hospital in Terre Haute, Indiana.[12] Aftermath[edit] Brandi Worley initially was admitted to Indiana University Health Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis to treat her self-inflicted injuries.[6] The funeral of the victims was held at the Darlington Community Center on November 22, 2016, and they were buried at Greenlawn Cemetery in Darlington.[4] A vigil was held at Congregational Christian Church, also in Darlington, on November 18, 2016.[12] YouTuber Philip DeFranco assisted Jason Worley after the father of the victims contacted him on Reddit. DeFranco asked his viewers to contribute to a GoFundMe account to pay for Jason Worley's immediate cost of living and the funeral of the children.[13] In March 2017 the divorce initiated by Jason Worley became final.[8] Legal proceedings and sentence[edit] Brandi Worley was placed in the Montgomery County Jail in Crawfordsville while she awaited trial.[10] Originally Brandi Worley pleaded not guilty and had a trial scheduled.[14] In January 2018, Brandi Worley pleaded guilty to murder.[10] On March 19, 2018, Judge Harry Siamas of the Montgomery Circuit Court sentenced Brandi Worley to 65 years for murdering Charlee and 55 years for murdering Tyler, giving her a consecutive total of 120 years in prison. Jason Worley stated "All I care is to never see [Brandi Worley] again. Out of sight and out of mind."[2] As of March 2018 Brandi Worley, now in the Indiana Department of Corrections, is located in the Rockville Correctional Facility in Parke County, Indiana.[9][15] As of August 2019 Brandi Worley is in Indiana Women's Prison in Indianapolis, Indiana. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brandi_Worley --- 32-13 ... I had to reread your post a few times to make sure I didn't misunderstand. Your take on these events, that "Reddit helped get two kids killed" is incredibly bad.
The mother was obviously a terrible person. If anything, these events proved that Reddit's advice was right and it was better to get away from this woman. It would have been crazy to predict this would cause the mother to snap and kill her children. If, somehow, you did predict that, then the right thing to do would've been to get the children away from her, somewhere safe, not stay with her and hope she never snaps. ... Copied to Clipboard!
