The NYPD suspects an employee may have contaminated the shakes with bleach. The ill officers remain hospitalized. Their conditions were not immediately known.Employees of the establishment were being questioned. So far, no arrests have been made. A shake sample was taken to a lab for testing."

I highly doubt someone is crazy enough to poison a drink in a restaurant chain. My guess would be improper storage of ingredients. If this is a legitimate attempt at poisoning someone, I will lose a bit of faith in humanity.

That's fucked up. It's one thing to not like cops, it's another to not like someone, especially for something they may have done that could be considered wrong, it's a whole other thing to fuck with people's food and intentionally harm them. I hope those guys sue the shit out of that place and the people responsible are outted, face lengthy prison sentences and are never allowed to work with food ever again. You don't EVER try to harm or debilitate someone by poisoning their food. That's like crazy last resort wartime shit.

This is probably a case of not cleaning out the shake machine properly. You're not going to be able to discreetly pour bleach into just 3 shakes. Unless the whole restaurant staff was in on it which would be kinda fucked up.

Pretty skeptical of this considering the history of cops fabricating food tampering with fast food restaurants. Also how would you not smell bleach in the drink and proceed ingesting a portion of it. It has a very strong smell.

It could very well be true considering the current tensions, but I'm skeptical.

Yep. It's a hard pill to swallow (no pun intended) to believe all three of them would finish almost all their shakes without realizing there's something wrong with them. If there was bleach or other chemicals in the shake you'd think it'd be noticeable with the first few tastes.

you might clean plates and utensils with bleach, but you dont clean a large machine like that with it. they generally have dedicated cleaning solutions that aren't nearly as caustic or harmful if a bit isn't rinsed out.

It's very unlikely that someone at this particular shake shack tried to poison officers. It's in the biggest hub in the financial district, there's a massive police presence there. It's far more likely that they're creating a false narrative to hurt protests. The NYPD is such a horribly corrupt organization that literally 100% of people that are even slightly informed would see this as a completely realistic thing they'd do.

Police aren't Doctors. A Doctor would make that determination.

When crimes are committed you never really hear "Doctors Suspect". Generally doctors feed information to police, which turn into investigations and police turn that information into suspicions or investigations.
