I'm mostly suspicious of Lea right now, a zombie vig with only two zombies doesn't really make sense and the scum zombie leader could very well have an extra shot

I'm more wondering if the last scum could be one who doesn't scan. From Bolt's flip it says that the person who makes the virus knows who the zombies are - but presumably they don't know him. Could be a person who scans town since they aren't a zombie themselves.

Though, that's looking too deeply into flavor meow, which was a mistake I did last game.

I think FDR has the weakest claim, and has been almost as inactive as Pendragon.

Aecioo seems confirmed with Sultan's flip - the only reason I was skeptical of Aecioo was because he claimed the only flavor that was active at night.

Lea claims to shoot Han when someone Sultan clearly saved someone.

Death I believe based on play - though the legitimacy of the claim has me a bit skeptical just because it's probably the hardest one to get (which is saying something, I thought mine was hard!). Still though, based on my very bad play-reading skills I think he's town.

Yeah so my gut says fdr. For the record I haven't been completely honest in my role - I'm not just getting innocent/guilty scans, I'm getting flavor that reflects their roles. Zombie scans have been completely straightforward, but scanning Han got me a message about him being the center of attention but not actually happy with it - aka what he flipped, social butterfly. I was hoping to trip someone up with flavor by having it be something so out there that it wouldn't fit with my flavor scanning role, but that doesn't really seem like it's happening unless I missed something. FDR's flavor is the strangest to me, and his role is the only real RNG so far. I at least have the ability to target my scans, he just seems to be getting numbers sent his way.

Also yeah this is why I've mentioned godfather a few times. I'm a flavor scanner, not a guilty/inno cop. Figured out after I scanned Han that it was most likely a godfather but I was hoping to catch someone with a bad flavor claim.

I didn't know that, but that was also a reason I was initially skeptical with it. Last game I had cop and only got Town/Not town. But again, with the sultan flip I completely believe you for meow.

Quick notes:

FireFdr had the choice of becoming a zombie or having a message being posted this morning that he was going to escape by helicopter. I think that choice would have been funner but oh well.

Death kind of got screwed over. If he was bit by a zombie he would have turned into a full zombie instead of dying. But his role wasn't very fun. He was a victim of balancing.

Overall I am actually pretty happy with how the game turned out balance wise. It was really, really hard to try to weigh making town actively trying to lose with making a balanced setup. I think I kind of nailed it. The downside was that the zombie aligned roles were definitely less fun to be then the town ones. Oh well.

Aecioo won with a zombie scan and scanning one of three other town people most notably IGCD. Best post of the entire game was IGCD lamenting that Aecioo didn't scan him so he would get night killed.... which if that had happened he would have lost anyways. "oops"

Overall I think the game was really intersting. I honestly was just curious what would happen in a game where everyone was an independent survivor. I don't think there is any real way of making it similarly balanced and also solving the issues of scum roles kind of sucking. I toyed with the idea of no mafia team for like 5 minutes before throwing that out because it would have been terrible gameplay.

Neat game

Go ctrl + f my day 3 and 4 with my win con in mind, haha. Probably 50-75% of my posts are just me indiscriminately ramming lynches down people's throats lol I hope people realize now I wasn't just being a jerk w.r.t. the whole "this is an atypical game" angle

So yeah, I went through a lot of feelings in this game. The apathy I felt early was a legit thing and helped push me towards my claim on day 2. I wanted to play a game of mafia even if it was strange, so I wanted to help kickstart it. I definitely got lucky with the bolt scan - I didn't have much to go on but he jumped out as someone to scan early so I just went for it. Everything I said regarding why I claimed cop claim was true - I believed there had to be a doctor who would escape if he blocked night kills, and that's exactly what happened, so my idea was two fold. Kill a scum to push me farther along for a town victory, and draw protection so I have more time to scan and hopefully get my own wincon. I was definitely wary of some sort of a strongman, but all the claims at that point seemed neutral to almost anti-town, so I didn't think there would be a ton of scum power.

I'm surprised at Deaths role but I'm happy that I had him pegged today as the lynch for tomorrow if game didn't end.

Oh and saving Bolt after he claimed scum because I figured if we let him live a day it would be a slam dunk to speed lynch him the next day

also sorry to bolt for how aggressive I was to him after calling him out. I knew I had to push with everything I had for his lynch because his counter was actually really good. Him calling out plum was a really nice move and I had to try and shut that down hard

It was definitely bizarre and not quite what I wanted, but I enjoyed it. It's tough to make a game where 85% of the players are looking after themselves. It kind of promoted NOT hunting scum and trying to drag the game along for as long as possible.

Yeah this. Anarchist was renamed to Deaths role of unhelpful mcguffin but I hadn't update my spreadsheet when I posted that



Also at one point in the setup there was a rescuer which rescued other players. In late stages of balancing it got thrown out because it was too swingy which is why it is referenced in Deaths flavor.

Its a pet peeve of mine when hosts only reference things that are actually in the game leading to role meta, so I left it in though it didn't end up mattering.

In my defense, I believed every single word of what I was saying. It was all true in the end I just had the wrong person lol. The only thing I lied about was being solo because I wasn't about to sell out my actual scum teammate, Pendragon, but Plum confirmed even if scum won I lost if I was dead sooooo. I stand by the setup being kinda bastard for scum but I appreciate that the scum players didn't roll it that way.

Strange game. Shocked to see a conventional town win, but Aeicoo is actually really good at mafia and I don't think anybody in the game really knew to respect it because he's one of those old school types that I don't think has played at all recently?
