been playing duel links instead of working on a project

getting my ass beat by meta decks, and wondering did those who achieved so much ever play duel links? did they waste time playing a shitty game and earned so much money, bought cars and multiple mansions no one ever uses?

People get caught up on time. Yeah, in a few billion years we will be nothing and our planet will be burned to a crisp and just another lifeless speck in the Milky Way.
But
1. Is the value of something in the present predicated upon its value in the distant future? Your favorite food item that you love so much? It turns to goo in your stomach and then shit. The new pc, car, or video game? All old and worthless in 100 years. Doesn't mean you can't enjoy them now tho.
2. This shit's interesting. I love the fact that I get to experience learning about reality. Its quite a privilege. Awesomely enough, it is also by learning and efforts in science and technology that we might find ways to extend our existence as a species.
