He said he was shocked at how the coronavirus massively spiked and racial tensions with police have sparked protests and riots across the country. He went to the Monastic Academy on March 23 for 2 months for "voluntary and physical memetic self-quarantine" and then made a tweet after coming back to "real life" Trump announced COVID-19 pandemic 10 days before he shut himself off from the world but more and more lockdowns occurred spurring protests from that and now the riots.. He told his followers that he had "notification bankruptcy" asking anyone who had contacted him while he has been away to update him on what's going on. His first experience with another human was when he went to Shaw's supermarket and felt anxieties from other people when he moved near them...while not practicing social distancing He told the NYT "I would turna corner in the grocery store and someone would be there and they would recoil. I Haven't installed the COVID operating system. At first, i was like, whoah what did i do?" While finally scanning social media after months in a Buddhist Monastic community, he found out people talking nothing about coronavirus and the riots. He said the world is much different back in March to what happened now as he felt he missed a lot from his reetreat where he was in a collective traumatic emotional experience while trying to obtain INNER PEACE. Businesses shut down in the NE a week before his retreat started. Honestly, he picked a kinda good time to self-isolate like that. While I've sometimes considered buying a cabin or similar (or making something) in a remote, quiet area that I could retreat to in case of a lethal pandemic, the prospect of having to do my own farming so that such a lifestyle is sustainable makes simply dying in the disaster seem attractive by comparison. --- (\/)(\/)\|-\| There are precious few at ease / With moral ambiguities / So we act as though they don't exist. <cite>Zeus posted [p:940196472] in Vermont Ma... The real story seems a lot more confusing. As far as I can tell, he's worked at a few non-profits and might be a life coach (he has a company called "Emerge" but, as far as I can tell, it's just a website and a podcast whereas his job title at that company is "Host and Responsibility Trainer" which sounds very life coach-ish).
