Yes No Can you see why this jerk got the boot from this picture? - Results (2 votes) Yes 100% (2 votes) 2 No 0% (0 votes) 0 Officer Thomas McClay from Denver was FIRED after writing "let's start a riot" for a caption on a instagram post while smiling with 2 other officers They released a statement that afteran internal affairs investigation on his social media, he was given the boot for violating the department's social media policy and said his post was inconsistent with the values of the department He was initially assigned to desk duties while an investigation was taking place as it's not known if the other 2 offiers were disciplined which saw them using foam bolluets and pepper spray on demonstrators His instagram account has now been deleted and had just graduated from the police academy and joined in October 2019 He was on a 9 month probationary period for all officers that joined the department The Denver Police Dept said "Today a young probationary Denver Officer was terminated for posting an inflammatory, insensitive and quite frankly misguided photograph on social media" Thousands of Denver residents took to the streets like many Americans across the country to combat police brutality against black people in the aftermath of George Floyd's death.
