Not only that, but if it were the top 4 then it would be two games from each of us selected.

Interested in all of the games at least somewhat, but they all seem too long for me to focus on when I could be playing more Brigandine: Runersia.

No and no (AER is an exploration-focused puzzle adventure game)

You have a more generous definition of puzzle than I do!

Mulaka looks very interesting, but after checking out The Silver Case I am definitely leaning towards trying that one out first. I somehow hadnt even heard of that until now, so good job whoever nominated it.

Well they aren't brain teasers and are self-contained, but you have to solve a healthy amount of environmental puzzles throughout the game's entirely to where I think it should be acknowledged.

I'm 15 hours in Battle Chasers (perhaps more like 10 of active forward progress), and I have no idea whether or not I'll be able to beat it by the end of the month. Fair warning, tune out my incoming rant, because it's mostly my fault for starting Battle Chasers in earnest so late in the month:

So I'm supposed to have made decent progress already, based on that 25 hour estimate earlier ITT. However, I can't possibly believe I'm anywhere near halfway through when most of my characters are sitting at level 11. It doesn't help that I'm currently having to face the prospect of a very hard (in-game difficulty) story dungeon, which I probably won't have a good time in considering I've recently failed three different optional battles - two against lower-leveled foes than said dungeon has. That means I'll likely have to spend a good few hours grinding here, given how slow the process is in this game - and then perhaps another few hours grinding after I've beaten the next dungeon for the first time, from what I've heard.

On top of that, Battle Chasers forces your party members to participate in battles to (slowly) earn EXP from them, with a maximum of 3 per battle versus my current 5. That would be annoying but tolerable alone; sadly, entering a dungeon and resting at the inn are the only ways to change around your party composition, making that also much more annoying than it needs to be. It all means I'm trying to actually balance my party's levels/EXP without leaving anyone behind, and without being able to use my brand-new character who would probably help, because she's a level and a half above the rest of the party.

The bottom line is that the idea of a JRPG with actual teeth on it akin to the genre's early days isn't so bad (though there's quite a few other complaints I could levy about Battle Chasers in particular), but it's kind of a problem right now.

https://howlongtobeat.com/game?id=30017

This is what I used, but I did round down when I said 25 hours (they have it at 28 hours).

If you are doing a lot of the extra/side stuff, then it according to this (and the colorization suggests that it is a fairly accurate figured based on everyone who submitted data), the game would take you about 40 hours.

If you end up not being able to beat it, it's okay. Don't force yourself for my sake. It was a cool streak to never have a game go unbeaten for nearly six years, but nobody's life will be worse if it comes to an end.

(Momodora: RUtM is really good if you don't already have that.)
