The Riots weren't about getting one cop arrested. It was the boil over of being fed up that this happened too man times in the past. it was the frustration that it took a riot to get him arrested. It was the fear that had there not been a cell phone there that cop would still be walking his beat, just as he was after the last 12 (probably more) reported incidents he's had. Call me when they actually do something about the problem as a whole. this arrest and charge is a good start but far from the end of it.

But chances are you know this and didn't make this topic in good faith.

Nope.

With curfews in effect in Minneapolis and St. Paul at 8pm, the violence will spread to the suburbs. Anyone out after 8pm besides emergency personnel and those going to and from work are subject to arrest.

I know of at least one plan of 'protests' in Bloomington at 8pm with the assumed goal of bringing it to the Mall of America.

They arrested the other three?

I'm glad they have them charged with as close to ace in the hole convictions. We don't want another george zimmerman situation because the DA charged him with a more serious crime they couldn't convict on.

This will go the same way that every other protest has gone. An initial set of demands will be met, and the people who wanted them will fade away while new people move to the front of the movement with bigger, grander demands in the hope of riding the momentum. Eventually things will fizzle out as the general population distances themselves further and further from the new crazy people at the top, and people will spend the next ten years debating about what the movements was ever really about.

the initial set of demands wasn't met and haven't been met for years. if you think the initial set of demands was simply "arrest the one cop" and people will now be content just because it took all this for it to happen, then you probably should stop commenting on things you're not fully educated about.
