Zero. The people who bitch about Amazon the most are also the ones who buy from them literally every day.

Is this corporate interference with the news media or is it simply the news media writing one script and demanding that all its local subsidiaries follow it closer than a Raid Shadow Legend sponsorship script?

Either is bad and reflects shittily on the media organizations, but I'd like to know what we're dealing with.

They all get news reports from the same place sometimes. I bet you can do this sort of montage everyday, forever

yeah often times there will be one set of footage and script to go along with it that all the smaller/local news stations get. Example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dZElSajQdOo

No investigative journalists have to track and keep count by themselves, Amazon never release any of the data.

People know it happens it's just nobody can do a damn thing about it because the government bows to Bezos and those like him. Money=Power and Amazon is on track to become even more powerful than we could ever imagine, you'll know they've made it when Walmart either partners with Amazon or is bought out by them and Google merges with them

Except thats true. Medical information is private. Amazon can report how many of their employees have it if they so choose, but that's it. They are not allowed to give any personal information out as to who has it or that would violate HIPAA laws and they could be sued.

There you go, you answered the question for him and it was obvious the answer, he's just hiding behind HIPAA to try discredit the journalists tracking the number of cases

Put two and two together.

You said, "No investigative journalists have to track and keep count by themselves, Amazon never release any of the data."

He said: Amazon can report how many of their employees have it if they so choose, but that's it.

If Amazon is not reporting it, then how would these journalists know? Hospitals can't release information related to a person's profession can they? Who would these journalists ask?

uh, the employees are telling them. it's pretty obvious when someone who wasn't feeling good is suddenly out for 2 weeks that they have it

This. Employees who have had it or know people who had it. Management is aware that people have it and will sometimes inform select employees who ask.

This is how it has been working at UPS at least.

No it's not. Our company is sending anyone home that is showing any symptoms and making them quarantine for 2 weeks with no testing requirement. Most other places I heard of are doing the same thing. The way you have to do it if you aren't given a figure by Amazon is you have to track down INDIVIDUAL people raising privacy concerns, and log their case.

So either:

  1. 1000+ people self-reported to whatever investigative journalists people TC is talking about
  2. They counted 1000 rumor cases which is still hard to believe

The reason I'm questioning is that number is a huge number to be counting that way without some sort of internal tracker, and TC didn't even post a source. I googled Amazon cases, and see one or two single case reportings on the first page.
