Apparently in the new dark apocalypse justice league movie the superman (dude who has super speed and strength) doesnt auto win against an entire army of darkseid. He should literally be able to fly through them and knock them away like bowling pins, and just punch darkseid really hard and then bam, problem solved. Not to mention the even easier "fly into the sun and just toss the baddies" solution.

Nah Darkseid has always been the toughest being in the DC universe, barring literal cheat characters like the Spectre. And hell, he might even be tougher than them depending on who's writing.
The best Darkseid moments are when something unstoppable happens and he just casually stops it anyway, like in your above example, if Superman flies into him at near lightspeed and he just doesn't even budge, and Superman falls to the ground and struggles to get back up. As far as throwing him into the sun, that doesn't always work either. Superman kept trying to drag Doomsday away from populated areas by picking him, but Doomsday kept wiggling free.

Darkseid is usually equal to Superman...often notably stronger then him infact. Most the time Superman can at least put up a fight even in a 1vs1 but rarely will Superman get the solo win. Darkseid is just too strong.

Superman doesn't have to be OP to be Superman, but he does have to be more than a tortured messianic figure slathered in surface level symbolic imagery.
Man of Steel is overly long and totally full of itself, BvS is even longer and nerfs Superman to a handful of weak threats and a drawn out, pointless fight that accomplishes nothing, and Justice League buffs him to OP levels to be like "Yay, Superman's back!" without earning it. DC tried to be like an edgier, more grounded Marvel, but even compared to movies which, at worst, amount to a bunch of CGI action figures being smashed together by a hyperactive child, Snyder-era DC movies wallowed in tired drama, braindead cliches and surface level rhetoric. --- The pretty things are going to hell, they wore it out but they wore it well Now Playing: ACNH, Asdivine Hearts, For the King ... What makes superman unique is that he can still be positive and hopeful even after the worst things have happened, even after the literal apocalypse. His whole deal is to inspire hope in others, not be a debbie downer like in those recent movies.
