Mission Impossible's first season in 1966 had Steven Hill as Dan Briggs. Hill left after the first season and Peter Graves was brought in as Jim Phelps. The show continued for six more seasons and two additional seasons in the late 80's when it was revived. Kevin Can Wait had a cast shakeup after it's first season. Erinn Hayes played the title character's wife. Beginning of the second season, Hayes isn't around as the wife was killed off in-between seasons. Producers brought in Leah Remini as a regular. Didn't matter as the show never made it past the second season despite a King of Queen's semi reunion. They should have brought in Jerry Stiller. There was a Cosby Show spin-off called A Different World starring Lisa Bonet as Denise Huxtable. Bonet left after the first season to give birth to her daughter. Zoe Kravitz, and the producers didn't want their lead college character to deal with having a child or pregnancy. She did re-appear for a brief time in season 3. It's not in the best hands with CW, I don't see why they don't try for a Hulu or Amazon original DC series instead, Marvel did it with Netflix and Daredevil was fuckin' awesome. That arrangement didn't really work out in the long run though lol But to answer your question I think the CW shows make a shitload of money for their budget. They're basically licensed worldwide to different channels and streaming services. Riverdale is marketed as a Netflix Original internationally even though it's a CW show.
