The dominate culture cannot be appropriated since to fit into the society minorities are forced to pick these things up. If they don't they are attacked and or looked down on. Also normally people speak about appropriation it is just not when someone is wearing something that another culture wears. but when they either use it as prop or when it has been socially unacceptable for a minority to do something for years and when the dominate culture starts doing it. People act like it is the greatest thing since sliced bread .

can confirm, took spanish in college as a class, in addition to high school spanish.

Spanish is a gendered language. Some words are masculine (e.g. carro means car, and it's mascule) while some are feminime (e.g. estrella means star, and it's feminine). Then for things with actual gender, such as people, you have latino (men) and latina (women). If you use latino as an adjective for things that don't have gender you follow the word's gender, e.g. a latin star (as in, a stat in the sky that is latina) would be "la estrella latina" while a concert that is latino would be "el concierto latino".

Latinx it's just some dumb thing people are trying to make happen and it's condescending as fuck, like here here, silly latino, I am an English speaker and I am going to tell you how to use your own language, it's latinx! Like a linx!

The designs are European, because a lot of Spanish influences were introduced during the time of Conquistadors.
Kinda like how the Japanese adopted many of their literature, hierarchy, architecture from the Chinese

I dont use it but I see many Mexican American friends who are in the woke side of personalities who use it to identify themselves.

Not sure why we couldnt just use latin. Thats already gender neutral but whatever. I call people what they want to be called but I dont use it when Im referring to groups freely

A quinceanera is just a coming of age celebration for mostly girls who turn 16. Lots of Hispanics make a big deal out of it (particularly ones with lots of friends or large families), but not everyone celebrates it.
Though to me, as to why a fully grown woman is wearing one makes no sense to me.
