I use Firefox regularly, sometimes Vivaldi (just depends on what aesthetic I feel like that day, but usually Firefox, especially for tab containers).

Yes.

Im not good at learning new stuff as is, and im well experienced with Chrome now

Combine that with the fact it syncs bookmarks, and history across devices, would make it very difficult to switch to something else.

I do have firefox as an alternate though.

FireFox and Vivaldi and I'm sure the new Edge also synchronize across devices.

Different browsers have different functionality. Firefox adopted account breach monitoring far before Chrome did, and I don't believe any other browser (at least no Chromium-based browser) has container tab functionality even with extensions.

Vivaldi has the side panel that enables functionality for sites like Instagram that normally aren't available on desktop, plus it has a lot of funky integrated customization features (that are probably not necessary for most people but they still feel good).

Firefox also doesn't feature Chrome's information gathering/telemetry services; in Vivaldi I believe Google functionality is also disabled by default.

Never really cared for it. I've always been a Firefox guy. I'm sure they all do it, but doesn't Chrome/Google spy on you?

Google is very crazy in how much information they collect; you do have the option to turn off a lot of their tracking functionality but it's still freaky when you first go to your account security page and see years of voice search recordings and navigation history and shit.

FireFox, Vivaldi, Brave, etc. do not collect that extensive information on you. Of course it also depends on if you're logging in to Google, their trackers can still technically gather information if you're logged in and browsing around.

Thank you for the explanation. In the back of my mind I thought maybe I was overthinking and overreacting to not getting Chrome, but that's some freaky stuff. Even if you can turn it off, how can one trust that?

Gotta thank the European Union for trying to keep tech companies inline and giving consumers some control over their own data. But yeah ultimately I still don't fully trust Google. Don't have much of a choice though, I also hate Apple so gotta go with the lesser evil for a lot of things -_-
