Basically she said that media has always showed and represented white perspectives of things so she chooses to listen to things that empower people who aren't usually empowered. Like Beyonce because she empowers black women. She said she acknowledges that the music is good but it makes her feel nothing because of the perspective being represented. I'm just like what!? Why would you limit your music options based on that? Does every artist you listen to have to fit a certain narrative that you've lived in order to be enjoyable? Art is supposed to give you a lense into someone else's world so that we all understand each other, right? Idk, whatever. Just figured I'd rant here about it because she refused to listen to any of my points. --- Getting girls is all about honesty.
