a melbourne teenager has been added to a site that tries to shame "race traitors" the site in question is called Coalfax and used by incels to "shame" women who marry or date those not of their "race" i wont link to the site in question as ill leave it up to you guys to google and check it out if you wish.

in my opinion those who have had their info used for this site should find a lawyer in order to sue these grubby individuals into oblivion, as no one should have their info used in such a manner.

A plan with any number of flaws, including the fact that defaming people on the internet isn't illegal (if it was, much of this site would be arrested), the fact that it's an international website, and of course the obvious fact that the site itself is hosted in Russia so it's likely one of their racial agitation schemes.

If the girl was a minor (she's 18), it might be a different story since it'd be easier to pursue as a criminal matter although even then it probably wouldn't make much difference since the hosting is Russian. Search engines could and probably should de-list the site, but that won't really stop traffic there.

Considering that a great many racists are married, this kind of a claim just further renders an already generally-meaningless term even more meaningless.

Which is why Joaquin Castro got arrested for it... oh wait. Otherwise this was already covered: the target was Australian, the website is hosted in Russia, and the domain master is -- allegedly -- American. Those are three different countries and currently there's no international law regarding doxxing. Even the US's laws regarding doxxing are relatively limited and, at the moment, are only designed to protect government officials and people involved in the judicial process.

In some cases, it can violate stalking/harassment laws (which *also* are poorly enforced when it comes to the internet)... but again, this is an international case and one of these countries is Russia so good luck doing anything there.

Not really. If the information was publicly available such as on her own social media accounts then it isn't illegal to repost. At least that's the American laws. Private information that was never public is illegal for doxxing.

I don't know the Australian laws for it. I assume America is the only country with bad doxxing laws like that. But nothing can be done since the site is from Russia.

What are they gonna do? Shut down the site because they broke the law of being assholes? If being a dickhead is against the law, there's a lot of people that need to be arrested in the world.

The internet is full of doing more egregious versions of doxxing that have real world implications like getting people fired. Is being made fun of by a bunch of racists on the internet really that much worse?
