MartinFF7 05/13/20 7:04:02 PM #66:	Infrequent Martin anime update time: Finished watching The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya - and I loved it. More than any episode of the actual series. It kind of makes me appreciate the series more in general I guess. I just never got into the series and I'm not sure why, I think the really bizarre viewing order took me out of it right from the start (first episode being the Mikuru movie is ridiculous), then even more questionable airing decisions, like a random other episode in between the island two-parter. Or allusions to concepts that were introduced in episodes that I hadn't watched yet. Just really didn't help. But slice-of-life high school stuff really isn't my thing anyways so I guess there's that. I can see myself rewatching the series in the future in proper chronological order and appreciating it more. Though considering what the watch queue is looking like, the rewatch queue is looking even worse... but at least I can say I watched the SMFAS 5 winner, even if it took almost 2 years. I didn't read the LNs simply because I hoped for one day to see the remaining arcs animated.
