The fact the homeowner made this claim now doesn't mean the police were trying to cover it up prior to the information coming to light. Multiple times. My mom's a cop and tells me about this stuff a lot. She always told me that they'll shot you, anyway. There's absolutely no reason to just give up. If they're going to kill you, make it hard for them. You might actually have a chance at survival.
