Not only should it be a slam dunk to convict them, but the string of DAs who avoided arresting them and lied to the victim's family about the circumstances of his death should be thrown in jail for abuse of their office, too.

Given what we know now, it's really crazy. The murder-dad is the one that released the video, thinking it'd help his case, when he looked primed to coast free w/ no one noticing.
But he intentionally only released the last moments to make it look more justified, thinking once it was out, the authorities who have the full video wouldn't speak up and say he was distorting public perception by doing this.

He used to be a cop, and somehow thought this was a fool-proof plan. Like, he's clearly a "bad cop" in the sense of being a criminal and immoral. But he also just seems like...a terrible cop. In terms of basic ability and skills. Basically got forced out gently after failing to attend some basic annual use of force training for like 7 damn years. Then chases an unarmed man for miles in his truck while a buddy films the evidence before his son shoots the man, on camera. Then has the genius idea to release an edited version of the video himself, drawing public attention to a case well on its way to being swept under the rug.
Dude's not just evil. He also seems pretty fucking stupid and incompetent.
It's just incredible when you piece it all together, just how badly he fucked up when the cards were so stacked in his favor initially.

And now that it was mentioned in that Legal Eagle video and this topic was bumped, I really need to add in the part where prior to all of this, the former cop left his gun unsecured in his unlocked car and had it stolen, and how as a cop he should've fucking known better.
