You feel incredible, and look relatively good in clothes. However, all that loose skin makes it look like a deflated balloon when you're lying down. Hopefully it tightens up, but I doubt it.

I lost 119 pounds the year after I graduated from high school

I had loose skin around my stomach

had surgery a year later to have it removed

best decision I've ever made

since the first of the year I've been working on tightening up everywhere by gaining muscle

The most weight I ever lost was a little over a third of my body weight. Went from about 205-210 to 135 (I'm 5'7"). I didn't have any loose skin though thankfully

You have to pay for it though, because it's considered cosmetic. It's only covered under health insurance if it's something like skin morbidity.

how much is your happiness worth?

if you see yourself every day and are unhappy, I think it's worth it. some people are able to look past the loose skin and love the way they look and feel

yeah, probably. My skin is starting to tighten up to where you can see the outline of my rib cage, but that only happened in the last few months. I hope it continues to tighten up.

I'm six foot four, and at my heaviest was probably 435 lbs. I'm 207 now. That was a three-year exodus.

I lost 130lbs in a little over two years and I can easily say I look worse naked now than before. I still have about 30lbs to go but I'm trying to take it slowly on that because I want to give the skin as much time as possible to snap back as much as it can. It'll be a few years before I'm seriously thinking about the surgery but for now I'm only considering it if it causes physical discomfort, which it currently does not.

Once lost 80 pounds in 6 months. Tortured myself with the same boring salad every day (no ranch dressing, just the lettuce, a little shredded cheese, & some chicken pieces). There was no joy when it came to eating. But I felt great physically from running and lifting weights every day.

I gained it all back shortly after.

Past 5 years Ive gradually lost 60 mainly by just changing my diet. I dont eat as much fatty or junk food as before. And I no longer eat until Im full or before going to bed. The only exercise I get is at work from constantly rushing back and forth throughout the store and lifting when separating warehouse shipments, its not much but I break a sweat. Ive got some loose skin but it wouldnt really be noticeable unless I pointed it out.

Consuming 1800 to 2,500 calories a day, and a lightly physical activity job. Working outside in these conditions over the summer melted about 60 lbs.

That's where a lot of people misstep. They see it as a diet, when in reality it's a complete lifestyle change. The principal weight loss may have been 3 years, but I've been working on setting up proper nutrition and dietary habits for at least twice that long.
