As much as I'd like to see Phil get hammered with questions he couldn't answer, it's of no benefit to him to to agree to any kind of interview. Any question worth asking is going to be answered one of two ways:

1) I can't talk about that because it might be used to hurt me or my family.
2) That's detractor nonsense (which doesn't necessarily mean it's not true).

Any question he'd be willing to answer has already been answered a thousand times on his streams. Phil has already provided his viewers with as much information as he thinks they need to know. Any interviewer would have to agree to avoid subjects he didn't want to talk about (ie: all the financial stuff), and if the interviewer decided to blindside Phil with questions Phil hadn't agreed to, Phil would simply leave the interview.

I know it's kind of dumb to have to do that to prove he's telling the truth to a bunch of strangers, but what would it hurt to just do it if it will shut people up? Even if he's not lying (and he probably is), he does everything possible to make it seem like he's lying. "Of course I have proof! I could show you the proof, but I won't. Just trust me that I have proof."

I imagine Phil feels indignant that people want him to offer proof instead of simply accepting him at his word. The thing is, if Phil offered real evidence to disprove some of the claims against him, he'd be able to rub it in the detractors' faces the way he did with the escort saga. That was a massive win for him, one he still brings up as a way to discredit his haters. The fact that he refuses to offer proof for anything else can really only be interpreted as his not having proof.

The worst thing you can do to a narcissist, is ask for proof of their claims. You should believe then, so questioning them is an insult. And even if he can prove everyone wrong, he won't do it.

Also, noticed how Phil stopped talking about his Twitch payment? It used to be a milking point for Phil, to get more sympathy money from his loyal fans. I am confident his lawyer told him to shut the fuck up about his finances, because shit is looking bad right now.

Nick really got under Phil's skin.

-Nick doesn't have a stake in all of this. And Nick is a bad target for Phil. While Phil can shit over Nick as a content creator, he can't do it as far as his lawyer's degree. Notice how Phil only called him a "lawyer" and didn't insult him otherwise.

-Nick also immediatly extended an invite to Phil to share his side of the story. This is a problem for Phil, since now fans on both sides will push Phil to respond. This is extra attention Phil doesn't want nor need right now.

-Phil is also down a mod according to the recent mod leaks, meaning Phil has less people defending him.

-A lot what Nick discussed on his stream, was information Phil has tried to "debunk" (and failed misserable doing so), this means that the legitimacy of what Phil tried to debunk is now renewed. And now Phil also has Nick's fans to deal with.

-Phil streamed literally immediatly after the 341 meeting, not disclosing to his viewers beforehand he had this meeting. He talked to Nick after this, so he knew damn well what was happening.

-Phil attatches a lot of value to those interviews, the one that Nick invited him to. Phil believed that the interview with the Quartering would put him in a better light. First of all, it didn't. Second, The Quartering is a lolcow in his own right. Nick's interview would honestly put Phil on neutral ground. Phil will not do this, because he is deathly afraid of not being able to control the narative.

Nick isn't a detractor, set out to destroy Phil. That makes him so dangerous. Phil cannot adhere to his usual shtick. Phil's ego is currently under assault, Nick has exposed things about Phil, without malicious intend. Nick is a danger to Phil.
