lorekai 04/24/20 1:11:42 AM #1:	Basically when my employers hired me they did so in a somewhat dubious manner so I was technically working for them as a contractor, I was desperate for a job so I accepted it. It ended up being a really nice place to work, they were otherwise great bosses, and after a while I was able to convince them to hire me properly, so all seemed well. With everything that has been happening recently, business has been down, and they've applied for a government payment which entitles all employees who've been employed by them for over a year to $1500 a fortnight. Which as my hours have been severely reduced would have kept me financially secure, however due to the way they hired me initially, despite the fact I've been working for them for almost 5 years now, I do not qualify for the payment. Shockingly enough I'm not feeling too great about this, and the fact that they lied to me about applying for it really doesn't help matters. Logically I know a lot of this is just due to unfortunate circumstances, so I'm wondering is it worth mentioning this to them? Based on your post, it seems really unfair for you to not get that $1500 if youve been there 5 years and the only requirement is for you to have worked there for a year, regardless of how properly hired you were. --- I'm thinkin' about starting a corporation.
