I felt kinda weird like 5 days ago, but I don't think it was anything. This fever has me a bit concerned though.

I've barely interacted with anybody the past few days. My roommate and maybe one person at a drive through but I washed my hands like crazy there and was careful.

Is your immune system compromised or do you have any respiratory conditions?

Just try to stay calm and monitor your symptoms. Youll almost certainly be fine.

I am very obese so I use a CPAP machine for sleep apnea. Otherwise I'm relatively healthy, I know that's bad though.

FUCK it's 101.3

WTF?

I felt fine like 2 hours ago.

Now I just feel a little feverish but nothing else. WTF?

I guess a medium fever and no other symptoms is better than nothing.

Had a similar experience earlier this month. Ended up taking 13 days before I felt I had recovered. After the first day the fever was on and off and mild to the point I didn't take any sort of medication.

Just calm down and be aware of your fever and especially your breathing. Don't stress or else you'll make it worse

What happened next though?

One day a spot on my tongue started tingling immediately after I put food on it and the taste wasn't as strong as I was expecting. It was almost like I had burned my tongue without actually burning it. At night I was breathing through my nose and I felt almost like it was burning, sort of similar to what happens if you are breathing in very cold air. I put my head under the cover where it was warmer and it still did that. This also went away within a couple of days. I never noticed any sort of loss of smell.

Nothing major overall. Could have been a lot worse.

EDIT: Ah, there were a couple of days of mild weakness earlier on. Occasionally I also felt a chill for a second or two. I believe the tongue and nose symptoms were on what I believe to have been either day 8 or 9.

Dang ok.

I'm very obese so this is scary. I need to lose this weight. I should have done it ages ago but I've got so many mental health issues that I struggle to find hope/motivation. I need to stop making excuses though. After this I need to change.

Get tested if you think you have corona. Could just be peoples immune systems from lack of sunshine and exercise kinda ruined with all the staying home so one trip outside makes you catch something you normally wouldn't.

what state do you live in? there is no 'getting tested' in mine unless you're either dying in a hospital or you work in one.

Im in New York. It is the state with the most cases and there are options to get tested here. I guess I forgot other areas aren't hard hit and even are protesting the stay at home orders since they think their areas safe.

@joe40001 , checking your temperature every hour or so isn't going to help your mental situation. What you need to do is just monitor your symptoms beyond the fever. Stay hydrated, make sure you eat. Don't really change much beyond what you normally do in so far as food or beverage intake so that you can be sure whatever symptoms you have come from whatever the illness is rather than a headache from lack of caffeine or feeling faint from blood sugar issues.

If you start feeling flushed, or get chills, sweats, and shit like that then yeah check your temperature. If you go above 102 contact a doctor, urgent care, ER, whatever you feel most comfortable with. If you start having breathing issues, contact someone immediately. Headache is also something to look out for, along with lose of taste of smell. Please don't forget that while Coronavirus is the thing now people are still getting strep throat, colds, sinus infections, influenza, and all the normal illnesses that the world has to offer. My mom was convinced she had Corona, turned out it Influenza B. I'm not saying to downplay anything. Just be conscious of everything, not just what it is that is giving you your anxiety. I know that's easier said than done, since every time I have so much as a muscle spasm near the location of where my cancer was i'm immediately like "welp, it's back, guess i'm dying".

I don't think we really need your temperature updates every hour. Others have already given you good advice: stay calm, monitor your symptoms, consult a doctor if you start feeling worse or you get new symptoms. Use common sense. Before covid when you got a fever was the first thought you had "I'm going to die. I need to freak out"? No? Then you probably don't need to do it now.

I don't know what your health care situation is like, but for mine I can video chat remotely with a doctor and he can even prescribe me medication. Might be something to look in to.

Sorry I'm also kinda posting my temp for my own records since it's saved with a timestamp, but I can do that different ways I suppose

Honestly without a thermometer I wouldn't really know I had a fever. I feel relatively normal.
