This has nothing to do with being a republican or democrat. It's just someone that's human garbage because his social life is affected. Don't forget, there's a republican official who compared the republican idaho governor to hitler because he wouldn't lift the quarantine shutdown.

You did choose to work for a hospital whose management left you woefully unprepared by not having sufficient stock of PPE. And as seen by one Michigan's healthcare system, you're always free to walk away if you don't like the job conditions, just don't expect to be hired by your current employer again.

Of course, you should deserve better conditions, but that's the responsibility of hospital admin to provide that.

I don't feel bad for them either.

Hospitals and clinics are dealing with the pandemic in such a way that they have the most diligent staff to prevent the spread of the virus amongst themselves and have the greatest amount of supplies in the country(whether or not they have 100% of everything they need) to deal with it.

If you want to feel bad for someone, feel bad for the grocery store employees who are being exposed to the greatest amount of people with the least amount of supplies. They are the true heroes in this, and right behind them are truckers and dockworkers.

Well you can feel bad about them and grocery store employees. It's not really either or, but I do agree that they deserve to be thought about just as much. Have we done anything about pay? We can't let these average American's do a menial job, no offense meant by that btw, and expose them to these risks and not compensate them. Honestly we should figure out a plan for that before we open up states and add even more risk for them.

So are people in every other essential job position. The only difference is that they have no training on how to deal with the situation and didn't sign up to put themselves at risk amongst people who are sick.

If medical staff is getting sick, just like before the pandemic even began, it's most likely because someone in their group sucks at sanitation.

You bring up a good question. There are members here who will blast that Republican, but then you see them also say that we shouldnt feel sorry for cops getting shot because they signed up for the job or military who get PTSD and suicide because they also signed up. By that logic, they should definitely not feel bad for nurses, doctors, cashiers, fast food workers and everyone else who still has to keep our society going.

I know HIddenRoar is a low IQ shit poster, but just to squash his whataboutism so it doesn't need to carry on anymore in this topic...No one says that to cops in general. They say it to people who try to argue that because they have a hard job they should get special treatment. If a nurse kills a patient because they're scared and someone tries to argue that being a nurse is stressful, then feel free to use that...All i see are people feeling bad for nurses who are working their asses off and saving lives...There really is no reason to say this about that particular group of Nurses, just as there is no reason to say that to the cops who aren't chicken shits and actually do their job correctly and with respect..Also, if people say it about Cops who die while trying to save someone, one, they're stupid, but you can acknowledge that they knew the consequences while still feeling sympathy. You don't need to say "I DON'T CARE!"...if a nurse gets Covid and dies, would you say "I DON'T CARE"...i mean you probably would but people with a brain wouldn't.

....Can we also point out how stupid the comparison is? one takes school and training, and no matter how stressful they still manage to do their jobs like adults. The other, you can be incompetent and out of shape and they'll hand you a gun after doing little to nothing....Every post of yours I've seen has been trying to turn this into a Right vs Left issue. You are so far gone that you can't drop the identity politics for a second. Even if you are just trolling its sad that you spend so much time doing...this.

Nurses dont typically have to worry about being shot in the face when they do their jobs. Now they sorta do (i.e. metaphorically) because this virus is contagious and more lethal than the flu. A lot of them are getting sick from the virus, stressed and exhausted from the work, so some are quitting and complaining to the public and political leaders. Ive read at least one article about hospitals demanding their sick nurses return to work early, that is before the 14 day quarantine is up, which potentially could harm patients and coworkers. We should support them.

The pandemic exhausted whatever supply of PPE a hospital has. At that point, doctors and nurses have the choice to either walk away because they value their health (or because they feel that Hospital admin does not support them, or for whatever reason), or continue because they find staying at their job outweighs quitting.

A more equivalent analogy would be cops deciding whether to engage against an armed suspect despite being ill-equipped for the fight, or soldiers continuing to fight once they run out of ammo.
