If you go back to the Blackjack after the banquet you get a extra scene with Setzer and Cid; the scene itself is really amusing and also has a bit of foreshadowing.

I never knew about this one for years; happy to see something new to me.

So you have the terrible translation then lol. And yet its the version I have a massive soft spot for because fuck the PS1 versions abhorrent load times. Though best version is a modded GBA version.

And yet they gave FFIII and full 3D remake and gave FFVI a remake it looks like some intern came up with his first day on the job.

IV deserved one for sure, but III?

Youd have a point if they didnt also give IV a 3D remake.

FFVI is basically Missables: The Game, and I wouldn't change that to be honest. Finding all the missables (or the ideal combination of missables) is a game in itself. It's also nice when you discover something new.

Those chests that change throughout the game if you don't open them can fuck off though. They're annoying to keep track of.

@spikethedevil

I'm actually using the Uncensored Edition + MSU1

It really brings out a whole new experience, so many things I never knew existed except the uncensored sprites.

Though I actually didn't know the Final Boss tower was censored too.

Well I found out about the Grenade Monster I never knew existed; dedicated forest for it apparently.

Ah nice one.

Sometimes I think SE should follow the way of SEGA; seems like it is the way of the future.

That way people will probably bitch less and including myself towards the Corporations/CERO/ESRB.

@Hexenherz

FF1 - Couple days
FF2 - Couple days
FF3 - Couple days
FF4 - Couple days
FF5 - Possibly half a week (possibly a whole week if you're doing everything)
FF6 - Possibly half a week.

This is going by a casual playtime rather than hardcore.

Also this isn't counting Remakes, etc. (just the originals like you're asking).

Remake Content adds about a half a day's worth of content give or take.

If the PS1 and GBA versions hadn't inexplicably fucked up the timing of the music during the ending vignettes, I'd never have a reason to go back to the SNES version tbh.

Kind of odd how I overall enjoyed the FF 6 retranslation (even though it axed my eponymous Master Pug) yet absolutely loathed the Chrono Trigger retranslation.

@Kaliesto When you say "a couple days", do you mean like 48 hours of play time or do you mean playing a few evenings and maybe a day on the weekend? Also bear in mind I probably wouldn't go for 100% completion.

Found another thing; go to the Aged Man after you get the letter from the Emperor Portrait.

Actually I think I did find that scene a long time ago; I vaguely remember it.
