Bought in shortly after this post at $42.40. Sold today at just over $43, hey I'll take that easy money without using up a day trade strike

Nice. I put my $50k into American Express at $83.10 end of day. They release their report soon and I figured if Capital One reported losses and still went up 8%, lets go. Worst case scenario, I hold imuntil I make it back.

That is curious Capital still went up 8%. Were people thinking it can't fall any lower?

Alright, Bank of America is slowly rising. Think there's a likelihood of it falling again anytime soon or do upward trends usually continue for a while first? Because now I want to buy a lot more shares of it, but am going to be a little peeved if it drops right after I buy some.

Also is there like a limit on buying and selling shares of the same stock? If I sold all my shares now could I reinvest right back in it tomorrow with the extra money?

the money has to settle first before you reinvest, this varies on processing time so you risk a margin call.

I personally think the worst is behind us. There will of course be red days still but with stocks like BoA youll be fine if you hold long enough. Id honestly be surprised if by two weeks MAXIMUM it isnt higher than it ended today.

Of course, you might get greedy and try timing it so that you buy it after its final red day.

Also, to avoid issues with settling, call your trading institution (vanguard, Robin Hood, etc.) and tell them that you want a margin account. Thats how you avoid having to wait before investing your money again.

I'm using Ameritrade and it said to deposit at least 2k to qualify for a margin account, which I did! Using margins you can basically double your profits and/or losses? Or was that something else?

But yeah, definitely going to hope to find the last red day. Still debating whether I should just buy another 1k or more of shares now or hope for another red day soon to invest.

Margins let you use an extra 100% of what you have in the bank. They charge interest if you use that extra money though so I never do. Im not sure if they only charge interest when you make a gain or what. Regardless, I would recommend only investing what you have saved up.

As far as BoA, I would not do another $1k now. Because it will auto be set at whatever its opening price is on Monday, NOT what it closed at today.

Made around $200 on Amex. I decided to play it safe and take the quick profit.

Last quarter, I put TONS of money on a Israeli tech company, Audiocodes, after their Q4 earnings report
I lost about $6k in 10 minutes. It was insane and mentally crashed me for a few days.
Turns out I wasn't wrong doing this. I just had a bad timing.
They are rising more than 20% after Q1 earnings report. God fucking damn it I could have been rich if that happened at the previous quarter

No, they charge it no matter what. This is a secured loan essentially.

I wish I had the stomach for Tesla stock. They are so sensitive to news stories and I knew 500 was a bargain entry point but I just cant deal with it.

AAL is the only airline not going up today. Might be a good one to go in on. Should go up.

Yeah, I wanted AAL but withheld because its less likely of a guarantee than Disney long-term, if need be.

The profits are all gone but so are most of the operating and maintenance costs. They are just paying small maintenance crews and a significantly smaller detail of security.

They are still bringing in money from the parks via merchandising, phone apps, and various online ventures.

Otherwise, Disney+ couldn't have picked a better time to launch.

The brand is really strong right now. And where do people turn to for consumption when a crisis is over? Fantasy and super-heroes.

My general advice with these is don't try to beat the market on the safe stocks. Buy low and don't try go guess what the high will be. The up and down movement is because like it or not, most investors are idiots. They don't generally have great reasons for things going up and down at that level. The only thing you can say with confidence is that they will go up.

Looks like another Green Day! Market is seeming to turn around for the better. Im probably going to sell Disney at open for a quick profit. I honestly dont trust it long term compared to the banks and financial companies.
