Im strongly considering 40k into BoA and 40k into Citi

I am hoping they go up tomorrow.

So much work to do. Gotta find each companys earnings report dates, look at the trends, and also look at news.

30k into BoA, Citi, and JPM actually. If they dont go up tomorrow, theyll go up eventually.

What made you pick those companies specifically?

Banks are immune from bankruptcy. Their earning reports were all released already or at least partially. I read an article that highlighted those three particularly. Two days of red in a row should lead to a green day soon.

And if its red tomorrow again, they WILL go up eventually. So its a safe bet.

All these companies' stocks went up because their reports came out and they did well. So the key is to figure out when reports are coming out and predict whether they'll exceed predictions. Buy late in day (reports come out after hours) and sell early in morning.

I think all the banks will go up. Especially once a majority of the other companies reports come out.

I'm braaand new to this stuff and that was officially my first purchase of shares (though I inherited stocks before but never did any trading). Judging from your prediction history, Moonroof, I feel pretty safe. Looks like you were just investing in these banks for short-term gains though? As you said, the big banks are basically impervious to long-term economic ruin, so why not just hold onto your shares until they rise back up to their usual territory?

I bought 50 shares at 21.79 for the record. In the months before the coronavirus wiped out the market these shares hovered around 30-35.

Banks are a safe stock because we know they will not be allowed to fail. Less gain to be had than airlines over time but extra safe.

The big banks are heavily entrenched in systems like state unemployment and such.

You will 100% make a return on your investment. The reason I sold quickly is because I want to keep my money available to play around with other stocks. I figure I can make more weekly than however long itll take to get a long-xterm return from BoA.

You may endure a loss in the next day or so, but you WILL finish with a gain eventually. Just do not sell no matter how low that particular stock gets. It may take weeks or months, but probably less than that. Its a safe bet with a guaranteed return so long as you remain patient.

Yeah, that's the way I'm looking at it. I was just curious why you weren't playing the waiting game yourself for the maximum return, but if you were using it for immediate cash to reinvest back into other stocks that makes sense.

I really wanted to get into WYNN yesterday. Missed out on 10% gains.

aaaand my sell off was triggered at 26 cents

bought at an average price of 17 cents.

Well guys I have officially tripled my money since I started paying attention to the stock market again, I think it is time I throw this into random blue chip stocks and focus on my business :O.

No clue. I expect the worst of it all to be behind us, but random news updates will cause red days nonetheless. I think tomorrow will be another Green Day though, barring some random event popping up.

NTGR dropped a decent amount today due to its report being released and showing poor earnings. I wonder if itll bounce back in the AM half or so of what it lost. Ill keep an eye on it.

Keep an eye on INTC. They have their report coming out tonight and Im seeing people are expecting them to have done well. Its a gamble but if they did okay this quarter, they can go up 20%.

DOW just dropped 200 points in five mins. Something mustve happened.

UNP also dropping a report tonight. Could be good pick.

Oh wow. Capital One has theirs coming out tomorrow. That could be a great one. Just stash it away if it does red tomorrow. Itll be up eventually.

Gileads drug did poorly. Thats why everything went down for a bit.

I put $30k into capital one, it hit a stop two mins later. I made $20 lol.
