So weird what people do to get rid of rodents, just get a nice air rifle, sure you'll have to patch up your dry wall once in a while, but it's totally worth it, and it's humane.
I do that for squirrels and chipmunks.

Very true. Starving to death in a vacuum would be far preferable to what a cat will do to them. They don't even eat the mice usually, they just torture the shit out of them.

My old neighbor had a manx tomcat named Button that was a true badass. He would fight other cats all the time and was just really fun. One time i went out on my porch to smoke and Button was in my front yard. He had crippled a mouse and it was trying to crawl away. He was excited and his eyes were glowing and he was jumping in the air and doing side rolls like a ninja. He would let the mouse crawl a bit then go bite it some more and hit it with his paws. It was pretty fucked up, he was dicking with it forever. I went inside somewhat disgusted but thats life man.

A mouse sucked up in a vacuum, huh? Wasn't that an episode of the Wonder Years?

I have a similar, slightly crueler story. Years ago I had a single rat invade my kitchen years ago. It was so desperate and hungry I discovered it in broad daylight eating from a bowl of sliced fruit on my counter top. It was like watching something out of Ratatouille. The vermin saw me from a far and kept nibbling until I got close enough then it leapt behind the stove. I left the room to tell others and when I went back to the kitchen it was back at it again.

Immediately I went to the hardware store to buy some glue traps and I placed them behind the stove. I used peanut butter as bait. Soon enough I hear squeaking and it didn't dawn on me until I saw the rat that, unlike mice, they're strong enough to break free from the glue.

So I had to act quick before it broke free. There was no time to move the entire stove enough for me to even stomp it. That's when I grabbed a broom, turned it upside down and I proceeded to crush its neck with the narrow broom end. Let me tell you, that rat knew it was gonna die. It let out a really loud cry of fear and anguish seconds before I heard a crunch sound.

I felt a little bad it ended up going this way but those things carry horrible disease.

Yeah, it's unfortunate but unlike what some sheltered (man)children here think, no one with a brain is going to risk getting a disease to ensure the safety of a rodent living in their house, and if one of these people ever gets one in their house and ends up dying from hantavirus or rabies because they refused to kill it, it'll be natural selection at work

If it was in your house eating shit just take whatever it was eating and make a trap out of it.

Don't bother with snap traps though they never fucking work. Either they go off on their own or the nice just pick the shit off it without setting it off.

Either sneak up on them while theyre turned out or trap them in a corner or limited space while theyre running around. If we see the mouse run off into a room, we seal off any potential escape routes like doorway quickly. Then, its a two man team. One of us moves furniture trying to find the mouse while the other has the shovel or some type of pole ready to kill it.

The mouse is fast so we cant catch or tag it. We try to trick it into going into smaller spaces where it can run around less. We used to have a mouse problem since my house was located by a cornfield where a lot of mouse lived but its gotten better over the years. Plus, weve gotten better at dealing with mice. My father has dealt with them his whole life so he knows a lot of tricks and method even without traps.

Once you get the mouse in a small space, its game over for them. They panic and start going in circles.

I don't, but if you didn't read through the topic I suggest you do because a few people freaked the absolute fuck out calling me names and expecting me to feel bad for killing, as I have repeatedly called it, a diseased pest. It was funny to see a bunch of manchildren get so upset over me killing a mouse in a relatively quick minimally painful way

Yep, I hate it when people say all cats are assholes who don't care about their owner and shit. Some cats are but those are almost always caused by shitty owners. My cat despite being 17 still runs up to me and meows and purrs while rubbing against my leg when I walk in the door, and every second i'm home and sitting down or laying in bed she's either sleeping on me or next to me, its all about being a good owner. Back in her younger days she not only killed mice and bugs but she'd even play fetch.
