Have you been sick with any thing like C-19 before it got to the USA in the last 6 months??

I had something just before Thanksgiving 2019, that was the worst flu I can remember having. Lots of chills and on and off fever for several days. It was certainly very nasty. I certainly don't want Covid 19.
We did have a college student die in February from H1N1 flu in the middle of that month so maybe I had that. (Swine Flu)

In Canada, not the US, but I'm fairly certain I had H1N1, though I never got actually confirmed. I had spent time around some people who did later get confirmed, and when I had the vaccine several months later, my reaction to it (mostly that my arm ached much more than it does for a normal flu shot) suggested that I already had immunity to it. I had one day of being so debilitated that I couldn't stand up for more than a few minutes, then I was fine except for a sore throat and a cough that persisted for a month which was weird at the time but made sense as being H1N1 in retrospect.

My wife had something amazingly similar a year ago(January 2019).

We have talked about it and are almost 100% convinced thats what it was. Think about it, HIV was running rampant for like a decade before it was discovered. Its not entirely impossible that she might not have had it. Same with others. We couldve lost tons of old people this last year and shrugged it off as, Old people succumbing to regular old flu per usual.

I have bronchitis about once a year.

I don't want it to happen again anytime soon.

I mean, I self diagnosed myself with pnuemonia after the diagnosis that my doctor made about a month ago seemed to be completely wrong.

He thought I had Gerd a result of acid reflux that causes you to become very congested and spit up phlem etc after eating and after waking up.

He perscriped me these pills to take once a day about 30 minutes before eating and said to sleep with your head elevated. That was it.

Well, it progressed to be worse, so I was coughing all the time (I still cough alot now) and didn't seem to have any relation to when I was eating. I also had none of the symptoms of acid reflux they mention online.

By the time I figured all this out though (about 2-3 weeks ago) the Virus was known about and I didn't wanna risk going to the hospital to get checked out.

I guess it's possible that I could have had the virus before, and the coughing I have now and lung problems are left overs from the virus, since they don't seem to be going away, or getting better (alttough they are MUCH better than they were before).

So maybe I have already gotten it, and that is why my lungs suck now and I caugh and wheeze and have low energy (had low energy before anyway but was pushing myself to exercize and work through it).

All I know is I feel like crap, have to sleep at least 10 hours a day or I literally fall asleep on my feet, but I still feel lucky since i'm not as bad as I was so I can go about my day mostly normal.

I love how some folk are like "I'm sure I had this!" now when they had a things called the flu or even a cold because you know, winter. I've had a sniffle last year but it didn't last long. I get a cold every year, sometimes twice during the winter. I've never had the flu from what I recall.

Coronaviruses are fairly common.

It's just Covid 19 which is quite a bit more lethal and new to humans.

I had a 104 temp for about a week at the start of this year for no discernable reason.

First two days was a semi conscious to unconscious haze of pain. Started halfway breaking around day 3-4 and then finally had a day of it being broken about day 5. Was so cold that day I went numb. Re-spiked for another day or two.

That being said I refuse to look up Corona symptoms because the last thing I need is to make myself paranoid. I feel like crap almost all the time anyway.

Regardless, not sure that it matters honestly.

H1N1 flu
Oh so that's what that was?

Yeah I felt like I was about to die. Never felt anything like that in my life. Probably got it from that old fart that refused to take off work and collapsed on the job.

Of course the last odd thing I had was on about February 11. I got off a bus and found myself suddenly with a chill in my whole body I couldn't shake. I had to go home and sleep it off. I didn't have any fever when I checked after getting home. The next day I was fine, although a bit shaken and tired.

COVID-19 symptoms are much closer to a really bad cold than a flu.

it varies from person to person

a bad cold doesnt cause some people to have their lungs fill with fluid to the point where they cant breathe without a machine
