We are going to continue to be frustrated and angrier the further we get into this. We are just now sliding down the tip and digging into the iceberg. We are nowhere near out of this, Im not even impacted yet and feeling ripples in my hospital. There are going to be tens of thousands more deaths at a minimum, so buckle up or put everyone on ignore. These frustrations and complaints are completely validated.

It's so weird to think about how shitty it is out there. I've been staying home like a good boy, and mostly just reading or gaming, so I'm not really caught up on the situation. But talking to my nurse friends, they're all freaking out, saying hospital rooms are limited and supplies are dwindling. Keep doing good work peeps.

Yeah the response from our "great leaders" has been fucking awful. Trump, Boris and others around the world have made this situation far worse than it needs to be and so many more people could be alive that are now dead thanks to them.

Will they care? Fuck no they won't. Not will their supporters. Boris here even has the gall to claim he's a supporter of the NHS despite ensuring we were in One of the worst places we could be for this. So fucking much could have been done to see we were better prepared for this.

Work has been utterly exhausting and I'm not yet dealing with Covid patients directly. Or Maybe I am and just don't know how many are infected So far.

Not only is this story terrible, the fact that this will be far from the only one like this will be even worse. Even as we ramp up supplies to desperate hospitals, and we are forced to change how we live our lives... I dont think people are ready for the emotional impact this will have. Emotionally, our nation will be fucked. There will be so many deaths and infections in our communities. Im starting to hear people I know have it and I dont know whats going to happen next.

2.2 million isn't worst case. It's average case. It's what happens if people do nothing, which tends to be happening in a lot of states. A lot of factors at play there too. For example the US is very ripe for a pandemic to spread and not prepared in the slightest. Some areas will be worse than others.

As far as numbers jumping, the US average is the number will double every 2 days. Don't be surprised when we shoot up to 2000 tomorrow.

This is why I'm not too hard on Trump's incompetence. Most people downplayed and scoffed at the intensity of the virus, both politicians and civilians alike. And to be a politician, it emphasizes being charismatic and persuasive over being really good at preparing plans to progress society.

I was busy stocking up and preparing with my friends in February and when I talked to my dad about getting masks and what we were doing, the physician with decades of experience under his belt asked us if we were going to stock up with food and stay at home for a month and laughed in our faces. Fast forward 1 month later, and my pops is telling me to stay home because I have a congenital heart defect.

People don't understand or haven't accepted that the velocity in which information travels has accelerated considerably in this new decade compared to a decade ago thanks to the ubiquity of smartphones and social media platforms like Twitter. This means you can get information as fast as experts of fields, sometimes even faster (no joke, an example of this is the Chainlink community and the IBM's head of blockchain division). Now the question is whether you'll be able to interpret the info. You could have the background info to interpret and understand it yourself, or find a community dedicated to exchanging and scrutinizing ideas. Unfortunately, GameFAQs isn't this kind of community.
