The unit had been established by the previous White House administration in 2014 after the outbreak of Ebola.

You mean foreign nationals who were from the place where the virus was coming from? My cousin came from China to the US about a week before the ban, everyone got screen for the virus.

Let's take a look at what we are arguing about, below. It prohibited non-citizens who had traveled to China in the last two weeks before it from entering the US. It excepted US citizens and permanent residents - would you really want to ban US citizens from returning home? Think about what you are arguing here, that would have been unthinkable at the time. No it wasn't a total ban, but it banned everyone but Americans from returning. What are you even arguing here again?

As Azar explained when he announced the travel restrictions on Jan. 31, the policy prohibits non-U.S. citizens, other than the immediate family of U.S. citizens and permanent residents, who have traveled to China within the last two weeks from entering the U.S.

Hindsight being 20/20 and it being April 1st, whether or not the impeachment had anything to do with our reaction time is up for debate, but the entire impeachment was a waste of time, money, and resources. Certainly no argument there since Trump is still the President, and we all knew he would remain President (depending on what you believe; either the Senate covered up illegal activities or they felt he didn't commit high crimes and misdemeanor).

I'm liberal as they come, and I got criticized for agreeing with Tulsi Gabbard when she said that this is just a waste of time and nothing but political theater. In the end, it hurt the Democrats more because it vindicated Trump in the eyes of voters that aren't paying close attention.
