Sounds like it was a travel ban that prevented foreign nationals from entering the US. That's what a "ban" normally does, prevents people from doing something. The idea that you would allow Americans (the point that appears to be your supposed "gotcha!" against what I said) to be stuck in China during a deadly pandemic is beyond laughable, no president would ever do that. I blame Trump for saying things like the virus is a hoax and it will just disappear like a miracle. He must have had the intel to know it was not harmless. At the same time, I dont think people would have listened to him anyway back in January and early February. Theres motherfuckers not listening to doctors right now, and they still go out partying and hooking up with others. Regardless, he should have done the right thing anyway and called for a lockdown and shut down all incoming flights super early, but theres also no fucking way Dems, in general, would have agreed with him for that, not after the Muslim flight ban.
