Child dies!" to drum up fear mongering. With this report, it is obvious that the majority of the people in this country should get back to work, while those of us who are immune depressed, or over the age of 65, should stay back home. Covid-19 is horrible, and wreaking havoc across certain countries, but it's death rate is around 30k right now. It's particularly bad in a country who has the oldest population, and who smokes the most, so the numbers shouldn't be too surprising. It's tragic, yes, but the flu has claimed WAY more lives. The problem is we are tracking who lives and who dies. We aren't taking anything else into account. Did that 85 year old have a triple bypass last year? Is that 90 year old able to walk? Did the 55 year old just survive cancer? The media is tracking this with numbers, mostly using the color red, and it is working. We are huddled in our homes watching their every broadcast.
