Im unclear on how to buy after hours. I called vanguard and they said that I can only put in limit order during the extended market (4-630) and anything beyond that takes effect at opening the next day. But whenever I prepare to set a limit, Im hit with a warning saying the transaction will execute the next trading day.

There's an option to trade during extended hours after you click buy and sell.

For vanguard? I dont see it and I played around with it. Whatever, no big deal I guess.

My accounts > buy & sell > Brokerage products - trade during extended hours

Don't know if it's different on mobile if that's what you're using.

Same. I said it before and Ill say it again, collegiate courses in stocks should be mandatory for all finance, nay, business students and also open as an elective for everyone else.

I have an MBA and never saw a course on stocks even offered in my under or graduate programs.

I don't think I've ever heard of such a course. I took some business oriented courses, but none of them even broached stocks as a concept that I can remember. It does seem a bit odd that there isn't such a training for people in a dedicated financial field.

I have heard several times over the past decade there's a lot of people who think an MBA does an insufficient job at teaching business, maybe that's part of why? Some food for thought.

Makes sense. I only got mine because my job at the time paid for it 100%, do I didnt really immerse myself in the field either though. Regardless, youd think thered be some sort of academia in the matter for people who end up becoming stock brokers or financial advisors. Like, how do they become qualified? How can I become more qualified?

I would assume there's specialized training programs, but I wonder who certifies the people doing it.

I think Friday will be a better long term buy day. This week people are becoming accepting of the news that a lot of people are going to die. By monday people will realize there is nowhere to go but up. We should also be getting news of how the stimulus is going to be paid out and how people will receive their big government unemployment check.

I think all three of the cruises will go up by Monday the latest. I might buy into one tomorrow PM depending on how the day goes.

Wow, what an interesting trend. Its actually been going up. It seems almost immune to the virus and it currently right around its all-time peak.

Yeah Ive been keeping with the usual tech stocks. Im in on Agilent for like 600 bucks, thats been doing well. Looking at NEWR and DOCU - but I feel so drawn to blue chips because I am old haha. I jumped in Tesla when their competitor got delayed but then their biggest cheerleader faltered so ugh. I was hoping for a little velocity - its my current five hundred dollar ticket that is shitting on me ha

The only issue I see with DOCU is theres no ceiling to compare it to. I dont see why it wont continue going up though, even modestly. Dow Jones went down 1k points today but DOCU barely lost anything.

Another missed opportunity on AMRN. I meant to buy last night but received a phone call.

Anyway, maybe someday someone will be able to accurately predict NUGT. That stock is more volatile than any. Its been up like 16% between yesterday and today.
