Which was in reference to the Defense Production Act, which would mandate business supply chains to produce ventilators and other needed supplies to help with the outbreak. Currently he has mandated automobile manufacturer, General Motors, to make ventilators. -The US now has the highest number of cases in the world with over 100k cases and 1600 deaths with 45k of those cases and 500 deaths in NY. NYC now has over 26k cases alone. -Overall, the US has has had a very poor and mixed response to the outbreak, from local and state governments all the way up to Donald Trump. Some states are taking it very seriously, some are not. It's a mess. -New Jersey has now also been declared a major disaster area along with New York, with over 9k cases in NJ. -Louisiana has now become a new hotspot for the virus. Fears of Chicago and vicinity becoming another hotspot are rising. -The $2 trillion stimulus and aid package finally passed through both the Senate and House. -The Prime Minister of UK, Boris Johnson, tested positive for the virus. -Some countries have started banning travel from the US into their countries and advising citizens not to travel to the US. He had a fever of 104 and couldn't stop coughing. A possible theory is the Cytokine storm response by the body. In layman's term, it means that an individual may be so healthy when infected that the immune system of the body goes into overdrive in response to the infection. Everything ends up in an overreaction state that does more harm then good to the person.
